If you had some pixie dust; and could change/add stuff to Disney's Hollywood Studios...what would you do to it to give it the same magic the rest of the parks have?

One thing I would definetly do is add a really great TS to it. Not a buffet; something nicer then that, but not a signature place. Like maybe by RnRC they could add some kind of place that's similiar to Hard Rock Cafe...or by ToT they could make a scary themed place where the waiters were dressed in elaborate not so scary costumes.

I also feel like there should be something else...some kind of ride. I'm not sure what exactly, but something spectacular.

I know, I'm crazt. I just know that there's so much more that could be put into it there...somethings missing.
So what would you do if you could sprinkle some pixie dusy over Hollywood Studios?

I would sprinkle the dust :wizard: and get rid of Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey! That is the worst attraction in all of the parks :headache: Anything would be better than that.

Add another E ticket attraction themed around Cars or Monsters Inc, probably a coaster type of ride.

And I would ax Block Party Bash and put a more traditional parade back in there, even Stars and Motor Cars.

But for the most part I 'feel' the magic when I'm at DHS as much as any other park. I love the charecter interaction there and availability of different charecters.

1. Reopen the animation studio. Get back to the idea of the park as a cross between theme park and working entertainment studio.

2. Revamp the layout. Don't put two of your superheadliners at the end of a dead end.

3. Lose the Sorcerer's hat.

one will be in progress soon.....Revamping Star Tours.

Other things I would do....

I would add more to the Pixar area....a Mosters Inc themed coaster would be awesome.

Add some new things to the Great Movie Ride. I dont know that it's ever been changed, but you could revamp a couple of the 'movies' and also update the movie at the end.

New CS places to eat...they seem to have a lot of TS - Sci Fi, prime time, Brown Derby but dont have very much in the way of CS. Not a big fan of pizza planet, although the kids really like it.

Maybe add a Soarin' type attraction using 'Toy Story' or 'Up' themes.

Re-imagineer the Great Movie Ride and the Backlot Tour

Let me think about it some more. I love HS, but I too feel like it could use a little something more.

I would change the layout so I stop getting lost EVERY darn time I'm there!! I don't know why I'm so directionally challenged there; I don't have any problems with the other parks.

There's not nearly enough to do. More rides, more behind the scenes type stuff. Make it a full day park.

I agree that its lacking, but what I am not sure. To me it doesnt have the same magical feel as the other parks. How to change that I dont know I agree about adding a Monsters Inc. coaster I think that would help :thumbsup2

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Totally Agree!

True. More rides, less "sit in the audience." Maybe some rides with the technology of the Spiderman ride from Universal IOA.

There seems to be more open areas where you are just walking between things at this park.

Put some stuff in the Streets of America.

Improve the pre-Fantasmic experience, because standing in a crowd for an hour with little kids really stinks.

Lose High School Musical, add more street performances (they used to have street performers back in Streets of America). More stuff about the making of films and TV. what they've got now is just a big ad for the film du jour and ABC TV shows.

I run from Block Party Bash. Have seen it a few times and am now tired of it.

It's closed? This is the one where people can choose to draw a picture afterwards, correct?

You're thinking of animation academy. That's where you draw your own picture.

DHS used to be an actual working studio. They made animated films, live action movies, and tv shows there. That's why the Backlot Tour isn't good anymore.....there's no working backlot to see.

They've consolidated all the production in California now, and DHS has suffered for it.

I'd like to them live up to the "studios" part of Hollywood Studios. Do more rides and tours... something, good lord, anything.

It would be cool if you could have a two or three hour experience making movies at DHS.... either animated, CGI or live action, or a combination of both.

I agree they could add just about anything and it would be an improvement!! My least favorite park..its like they added a park as an excuse to charge someone an extra $75 to go see it, but they forgot to put anything there.

I think, MGM should be more of a thrill park for Disney..appeal more to younger crowds..teenagers or twenty somethings..more of a 6 flags type place

the idea they have going on there is basically a flop. I like the rides that match the movies theme. They should do more of those.

This is a great idea! I'd prefer this to that 'American Idol' nonsense (why is that even at a Disney/ABC park anyway???).

I've often wondered why none of Disney's live-action TV shows are filmed at the studios in front of an audience either.

i'll prob be the lone voice but i love the hat. i liked the wand at EPCOT too and was sad to see it go.

it guess thats becasue i didn't know either park without them (well until now)

i'd like to see some updated films in the movie ride and some more exciting stuff in the back lot tour.
