This isn't something you should force or resolve for the new year. Adding another family member causes a lot of strain and if both spouses aren't on board, it could cause resentment. If he doesn't want another child, you're going to have to build a bridge and get over it.

ETA: don't want or mean to sound rude. I just find this to be a more serious issue than 'change my eating habits or save money".

Wow that is harsh.:sad2: Why should she have to get over it?

  I'm sorry. That is such a hard situation! I hope he changes his mind. And I hope the new year will bring peace and happiness to you both.

To Quentina: (re: the quote above), I apologize for my comments above. I believe spouses should respect each others wishes and adding a child is situation not to be taken lightly in a new years resolution but that is *my* issue and not yours. Convincing, cajoling or otherwise coercing a spouse to add a child is just (for me) unethical. I feel very strongly about it so I apologize if I came off rude. I didn't mean to imply that you did any of these things I listed.

Need to start exercising! We got a Wii fitness so that should be a good start.

The bridge has been built and crossed....the question was ...what would I change....this is what I would want changed. I am lucky to have 3 great kids....just my personal wish to have an even number of 4.

To accept myself completely for who I am, and not worry about changing. Does that count as a change???
