my way....

I have a neuro appt in the morning.

Since a week ago Tuesday, I have lost feeling in the left side of my body (now gradually, all over). Luckily I have't lost control of movement, but I am sure scared. Google doesn't help with that much either. It is also so darn hard to describe...

 Good thoughts and prayers coming your way.

I hope you can get some answers and direction at your appointment. I will be thinking of you and hoping that everything will turn out fine.

I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers, but do yourself a favor and stay AWAY from Google! My DD is in the ER right now with liver problems - the doctor said that she HAD to go ASAP - and I am staying as far away from Google as I can..

Starting wacky threads here to keep my mind occupied..

Good luck with your appointment.. Hopefully it's something that can be diagnosed and taken care of easily..

That is scary. Hopefully it will turn out to be something simple and easy to deal with like piched nerves or something like that. Sending good thoughts your way.:grouphug:

I know what you mean...I am cleaning and throwing together a last minute Haunted Luau for DD's bday Saturday.

I hope so, but I would think I would be in pain somewhere....NO pain at all. No headaches or neckaches either. And the anxiousness/anxiety/fear/panic that it brings on is horrible. The hospital I work for has a 24 hr turnaround for CT's, MRI's and PET scans, hopefully they can get me in, otherwise I need a tranquilizer!

Thought and prayers heading your way. DH has had issues with his left side and he was nervous as well. After an appointment with the neurologist and the neurosurgeon our minds are at rest. Please do not imagine the worst, what started out looking dire has now turned out to be benign masses on his nerves in his spine. They are not causing problems. The Dr said that something happened to spur the pain he was feeling and the loss of motor function but that has dissipated. Perhaps the same kind of trauma has caused your symptoms.

Good thoughts coming your way. Hopefully, the visit will give you soem good answers.

Hugs to you.

It's sooo scary when things like this happen.

My aunt had something similar. It turned out to be a pinched nerve. Hopefully this is all that's wrong for you too.

How scary . Sending big prayers and hugs you get some answers and are on the road to recovery real soon! :flower3:

Well, that does sound worrisome. Here's hoping it's something minor and easily fixed.:flower3:

Good thoughts and prayers headed your way from a fellow Floridian :grouphug:

Let me ask you - have you had a flu shot recently? I ask because when I got my "regular" flu shot (not the H1N1) they made me read a paragraph about the possibility of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. If you did get a shot, it's just something you might mention to your neuro at your appointment :)

Don't be scared - at one time I thought I was having major heart problems, but they decided it was all the caffeine from the Big Gulp Mountain Dew I was having every day at lunchtime

I did have a flu shot recently. and I made them do it in my left arm as I am right handed. off to look this up.
