if you can spare any, I sure could use any good thoughts.....small update #63

I did have a flu shot recently. and I made them do it in my left arm as I am right handed. off to look this up.

Prayers and good wishes being sent. I guess I'll be researching this too. Just got my very first flu shot today, so now I'm a little curious.

Hope it's nothing serious...good luck at your appointment. I don't know if this will help ease your anxiety, but I used to get numb in certain area's and it turned out to be pinched nerves. Hopefully, that's all it will be for you, too.

Prayers for you, Lilygator, and C.Ann, too. Waiting and anticipating sometimes can be really scary.

That is scary. Hopefully it will turn out to be something simple and easy to deal with like piched nerves or something like that. Sending good thoughts your way.:grouphug:

Another vote for pinched nerve. A relative lost feeling in his leg and that's what it turned out to be.

Sending good thoughts your way. :goodvibes

My goodness! This does sounds scary. You are in my thoughts and I hope that you get a quick, easy and favorable resolution.!!:grouphug:

It's totally understandable that you're scared. I will say a prayer for you, especially for peace as you wait to get some answers.

Not to worry you at all, but you might ask the doctor about Guillain-Barre syndrome. My aunt had it years ago, and it started with gradual numbness and progressed from there. Most people make a complete recovery, but it's still something to be watchful of for sure.

Don't be too thrown by the fact that you don't have pain, only numbness. I had a pinched nerve and never felt anything at the point of the pinch, just experienced the numbness down my back and into my leg.

Don't imagine the worst; I'm willing to bet the statistical odds in something like this HEAVILY favor a pinched nerve or some other temporary issue.

Sending good thoughts and hopes that it is not serious. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hoping the appointment went well and you have some answers.

Love ya & check back here to let everyone know how ya are :thumbsup2

Sometimes if your neuro can't help you, try a chiro. I had a friend that tried every doc under the sun and then low and behold, don't ya know the chiropractor helped him the most!

Good luck, I hope and pray it is not anything serious!

Sending thoughts and prayers that it's nothing serious, and you get well soon

Even though we have had major issues between us, I wish you good luck.

thanks guys...well, he didn't tell me much, initial diagnosis for today is MS and I have an MRI with IV dye of the brain and C-spine on Sunday. Will take 2 hours.

I am thinking he had to put a dx down for the orders but still worries me. So I do this on Sunday and then go back to him on Friday. He gave me an rx to help me sleep....I have been pretty afraid to go to sleep, not sure I will wake up.

I do have to say, regardless of what this turns out to be, it sure puts my life in perspective. Scared I won't be around for my two girls.

V:

Prayers all around for you and John and the girls. I'm hoping this is just a blip in the screen of life and not MS.

All my love,

Nan
