If you can could change the American Adventure CS to anything what would you do?

If I could change it to ANYTHING:add the yummy bagel sandwich they served previously. I would also have them serve the following departed favorites:
Roast Beef & Cheese sandwich from Electric Umbrella
Stack Sandwich from Cosmic Ray's
Baked Potato from the former version of Sunshine Seasons
BBQ Pork sandwich from the former version of Sunshine Seasons

I'd love to see an old fashioned burger joint (something like Arnold's from Happy Days) with juke boxes, black and white tiling, a great ice cream / soda fountain, the works. And best of all, old fashioned prices (hey we can dream can't we)

I like the diner ideas, as well as the regional specialties--like the Maine lobster and Creole food from Louisiana.....yummy! It makes me wish that the powers at be with Disney read these boards and took our suggestions, lol.

I think a diner theme would be neat. Very Americana -Rotating Blue Plate specials. Breakfast available all day (bacon and eggs, western omelets, biscuits and gravy). Open-faced turkey or beef sandwiches with mashed and gravy. Philly cheesesteaks, reubens, clubs, chili, chef salad, etc.

AND the REALLY incredible rotating dessert case. We used to go to this diner in Atlanta that had pies and cakes in a rotating case as you walked in, these things were HUGE and you sepnt the whole meal thinking about what you were having for dessert. The pies were 6-8 inches high and the cakes were taller than that. I still dream about their lemon meringue. YUM!

This is a great idea! I think the issue here is that there will always be a large segment of us Americans who want to have a burger and fries when we go to a theme park...or most anywhere. Other than putting a burger joint over here in America, Epcot visitors would have to go back out to Future World to get their fix. That is why the place is often crowded--because it is the place to get burgers. Though I do agree, it does seem an insult to put this out there as the best America has to offer.

That is why the diner idea is so great. You can do a lot of different foods, and still serve the almighty burger. You can do it as a TS, but have a burger window to satisfy the CS crowd.

How about a CS with a seaside/boardwalk type theme with different booths or stations each with its own regional cuisine. Each seaside area of the US would be represented such as Maine-Lobster, NY-Coney Island hot dogs, Maryland-Crabs, Gulf Coast-Creole cuisine, NW-salmon, etc.

That's a fun idea also.

I think one of the reasons they keep it fairly neutral is that it doesn't pull away from the colonial, white-columns, Liberty singers theming of the pavillion. It would seem anachronistic to throw in a diner or something more 20th century on the side. And they've got the colonial dinner thing covered with LTT.

Maybe they could do an old-fashioned colonial coffee house...sponsored by Starbucks! :rotfl: (at least there'd be some decent coffee on that side of the park!)

Do any of you think they make the American restaurant so bad to force us Americans to branch out and try the other foods? This is probably why Mexico's CS is busy it is as close to American cuisine there, think Taco Bell. If I could change it though, I would put in some good philly cheese steak sandwiches, some Cooney Island style of hot dogs (with a chili option), some deep dish pizza options, and some fried chicken. They could even keep the hamburger, just make it better.

yeah, I suppose that the theming would make a difference as to what they could put their. Well, here's an idea. Why don't they move the Liberty Tree Tavern over to the American Pavilion, and put something else where the LTT is now (perhaps something that could go along with the Haunted Mansion.)
