I just bought BLT at 160 pts today. I *never* thought I would be a time share person but DS is 5 and I know WDW will be the place we vacation for at least the next 7 years. I have a few questions for you:

When did you buy?
How much did you pay per point?
How many points did you buy?
Were there any promotions when you bought?

For me:

How much did you pay per point? $101
How many points did you buy? 160
Were there any promotions when you bought? Only the DVC member referral. I tried to get the 200 pts for $96 promotion that expired on June 15, 2009 but did not know about it until a week later.

How many points did you buy? 180 total
Were there any promotions when you bought? Yes, $16.00 off per point for contracts bigger than 125 and $8.00 off contracts 50 - 99--these were for member add ons.

Were there any promotions when you bought? Yes, we had our choice of a 4-night cruise, matching developer points at SSR, or an additional $8 off. We opted for the additional $8 off (to bring the price to $96/point).

I'm absolutely thrilled and can't wait for September when I can stay there (though only for a night).

DVC is not a time share. It is prepaid vacations for the next 50 yrs. It is simply wonderful and you will realize that the first time that you have a vacation. It is a great feeling and you bought at a great resort (wish I owned there but I will visit)

We paid $98 per point. that was the going incentive with feb UY and prorated dues.

Very excited to go "home" in feb. also have first DVC weekend booked for OCT 09.
