If you booked Free Dining Bounceback past Oct 3, read this!!

Last week, I called to switched resorts and the first agent quoted a slightly lower rate with the new FD code. Then I was switched to someone else, who switched my resort without the new code. Out of curiousity, I checked my rate using the new FD code this morning and I am saving $26 a room. This is the difference between the low season and regular season rate. So, if you booked beyond Oct 3, check and make sure you got the best deal.

Thank you so much for this. I had two rooms booked with dining(before free dining was announced) for 10/03/09 - 10/10/09. When they announced free dining I called to have the code applied and the amount they refunded back on each room was $26.00 more than I had figured. I was going crazy trying to figure this out. thanks, this happened to me this morning too we check in 10/3 for 14nights and the package price went down just a little, i have to do the math but i wouldnt be surprised if it was 26.00

I would check if you booked free dining bounce back at all. I checked just for kicks this morning and we ended up saving $51.96. We are there from 9/26 to 10/7. All the cast member did he said was changed the code from last year's bounceback code, to the current free dining code. It never hurts to try.

I am a little confused....are you getting the resorts value season rate for Oct. if you book Free Dining?

We wanted to go for my DD birthday on Oct. 5 but decided against it and are going earlier because of the extra cost because of the start of regular season. We have to get two rooms so we get the increase x 2.

It sounds like that's what is happening. Last year when the FD was offered with Disney Visa, it happened to us. We paid the Value rate for the entire stay even though it went into the regular season.

Oh wow! I am glad I asked. I just assumed the rate would go up on Oct. 1. I just might try to call and check the dates we really wanted and compare to our current reservation.

I have a GG booked for end-Aug-early Sept. I asked CS to check if I changed the code if I would save any money. He was hesitant to do it, saying that I already have free dining w/my bounce back, yadda yadda. I asked him to check anyway, and low and behold..now saving $82.00

I'll be there Sept 26th-Oct 4th. I just called and am going to get $51.98 refunded to my credit card (I had already paid my bounceback ressie in full, so they are going to just credit my credit card back.) I wonder why my refund is .02 more than yours? You're staying three days longer than me, so shouldn't you be getting more back?

We aren't checking in until after the 3rd (BB from last year). We are definitely paying 'non-value season' room rates. Do you think this change would apply to us or should I try to back our trip up by a day or two to capture the official "Oct. 3" date? And, if we then arrived on the 3rd would we get the value rate for the entire stay?

Go to the disney website and try to price it out with the new FD codes. See if there is a price difference. If there is, call CRO and change the code.

i received a credit of $51.98 on my reservation.
i had booked last september on the bounce back program for this year's ressie.

i start my stay this year on sept 30 and stay thru oct 8th.

i had the CM recalculate my bounce back ressie with the RYH code for the present present program.

$51.98 cheaper with that code.

if you have the bounce back reservation, you will find out the RYH code comes out cheaper. that is the promo of free dining for bookings arriving by oct 3rd this year.

call and have your rate modified.

the disney visa promo code for regular ddp is RYI. The code of RYH is the same thing but for the general public

I do end up saving around $23-$25, however, I have to shift our vacation up a few days and would rather not do that, so I guess I'll leave things how they are.
