If you booked bounce back free dining--Please Read!

Hmm...mine is $0.22 more expensive if I redo the code. I think I will keep the cheaper price.

Mine is exactly the same down to the exact penny, so I guess I'll keep mine too.:rotfl:

Exactly the same price for me too. :confused3 I wonder why some people are getting a savings and some aren't?

I think it has to do with getting the Value Season rate even if the trip goes into the Regular season. It happened to us last fall when 3 of our nights were in Regular season and all were priced at Value. Just my thoughts.

What the heck! When I said mine was exactly the same I had just gone online and priced it. Just to make sure, I just now called and got a quote for my exact dates with standard room with no insurance (in other words exactly what I have now) and the CM said it was $51.98 cheaper than my bounce back.:confused3 So if your price is coming out the same or a little more expensive try calling, rather than just checking online for the price. Hey that $51.98 is not much but it's enough to buy a MNSSHP ticket.:cool1: I have already paid for my bounceback ressie in full, so they're going to have to just credit my Visa back. She said it may take one to two billing cycles, but that's OK, as that about the time the MNSSHP tickets should become available, I believe.:cool1: Oh well, Disney always gets my money one way or the other.:rotfl:

what did you say when you called that you wanted to reprice the package or did you just call to get a package quote and then explain you already had bounceback?

I was wondering if the new package was cheeper also.
We have 3 persons on our reservations, we are staying
at AKL and the offer is priced out at $95.00 per person
per day and they give a total for 4 persons (2 A, 1 Jr, 1 child)

I wonder if I would pay less because I only have 3 persons
(2 A, I'm not sure what DS is considered he's 13yrs.--I thought
he would be considered an Adult).?

I just called and asked for a pkg quote, asking for exactly what I have now, same dates, standard room, no trip insurance, and one day MYW tickets with free dining. When she gave me the price and it was $51.98 cheaper than my Bounce Back, I then told her I had already booked the bounce back, but someone had told me this new code was cheaper and it was. She said, 'let me check your old reservation and see what I can do'. She put me on hold a couple of times while she checked with guest services, then came back, said I was right, and that since I had already paid for my ressie in full, that they would just credit $51.98 back to my credit card and she'd immediately send me a new corrected confirmation, which she did. She was very nice.

great, thanks for the info. I'll call today! Is your trip partially in Oct.? It seems live people visiting in Oct. are getting the refund. We are in Aug. and Sept. but I am going to call anyway!

Your price per person will probabaly be higher without the additional child. How they figure the price pp per day is to calculate the room at rack rate for the number of days you are there and add the prices for 3 adult base tickets (children over 9 are adult for ticket purposes) and 1 child ticket, get the total and divide by the number of days. If you only have 3 going the room price will still be what the room price is with the 4 in the example so the per day price will go up.

Bummer. Mine was the exact same price. Oh well, looks like no spray tan with the ab muscles painted again this year....

There was free dining in December?! Explain please! I'd really like to go for my birthday on Dec. 3.

Yes, last year Disney Visa offered free dining from Sept 28,2008-Dec 20, 2008. It was never offered to the GP, but I was so surprised that it was offered all through the holiday season. If your first day was Dec 20, you could have the free dining through Dec 31! We went on Sept 28 but many on these boards booked through the holidays. Disney Visa also has interest free for 6 months!

Thanks! I just got my Disney Visa a couple of months ago, so I wasn't paying any attention to last year's offers. Do you remember when the offer came out?

Yes, in fact I do. I was a week or 2 before Sept 28 because we already were going and hadn't booked FD when it was offered in the spring or on the bounceback. We did have a reservation room only and then the free dining came out. This was particular FD offer was only for Disney Visa holders and never offer to the GP like the current offer has been. Last fall through Dec there were many room only discounts for AP, FL residents and the GP. The GP was only a few dollars more than the other 2. We had ASMu for only 54/night but the free dining at the Value rate of 82/night ended up a better deal. We felt that we couldn't even eat at CS for the difference. Hope you get at great rate for Dec. WDW is the best with all the decorations and early Dec, in general is not that crowded. In 2000 we were there that week and everything was wonderful.

I just saw that you are from Mississippi, my husband was born in Cleveland!

Thank you so much! I didn't mean to hijack this thread-sorry op! We had planned a trip for this July, until we found out we had a little one on the way in May. So now that is postponed until next July. But I'm going through withdrawals, and want to go back now! If a good enough offer comes along, I'm going to have to book. We went in 2007 for Thanksgiving, and loved the Christmas touches. We left on Thanksgiving Day, though, so didn't get to see any of the Epcot festivities. I'd love to go back for that.

Dh was born in Cleveland too! His father was coaching there at the time.

Congratulations on the new little one!! My daughter went in Sept 2007 when she was about 4 months pregnant. We had a lot of fun and went back with her family in Sept/Oct 2008.

Small world about Cleveland. My husband's family is actually from NJ, where we live, but back when he was born his parents moved there and had cotton farms. Many of his relative still live in the area of Cleveland and Pace!!

I just ran both of my reservations through the website and was excited to see that both now cost over $100 less, so I called Disney for an adjustment.

The CM put me on hold for a bit and then returned to tell me that the difference in price was due to travel insurance, which was part of the price I paid when booking the bounceback, but was not included on the pricing that comes up on the web site.

Once they included the travel insurance, the price was the same. This might be the case for everyone else who's getting a price differential . . .

(Honestly, now that I'm off the phone I'm not even sure what the travel insurance does for me . . .)

i called and asked about the code RYH compared to my bounce back ressie for the end of sept.

i was given a credit of $51.98 also like one of the other posters stated.

the CM switched my BB code (booked last sept) to the general public code and i still have my original ressie with fd and a credit.

the ones that booked with the disney visa code of RYI is the same costs as the RYH/for the general public

i couldn't get the promo code on my when i checked on the disney site but went to mousesavers and used their dw link to find out my rate would be cheaper if i changed the code.

give disney a call and see if the codes work for you to get a discount.

When I book I always tell them I do not want travel insurance. In fact it is one of the first words out of my mouth and then before I give them my cc# for the deposit, always verify that the quote does not include travel insurance, plus I check the price out online and figure whatever discount I am using before I ever call, so I know what the price should be (without insurance).

My understanding is that the price difference some of us are getting are because of when regular season starts. When you figure it online the computer figures in the season change, but when you call and get a quote from the CMs for some reason the season change is not being applied by their computers and we are getting the value rate for the entire trip, even though part of the trip is falling during regular season. When we booked last Fall, the room rate increase for the days that fell during regular season were being included. Does that make sense? Anyway, my trip Sept/Oct trip was paid in full and now when I go online to check my ressie, it shows the deposit I paid back in Sept, the amt and date where I paid it off in early March, and now a $51.98 credit for overpayment.:cool1:
