I agree, check the fine print of the third party to see if they have any cancellation fees separate from the hotel’s fees. Disney is waiving fees right now, so as long as your third party doesn’t charge any fees of their own, you should be fine. I don’t use any third party that charges a separate cancellation fee.
This is what the travelocity stuff says ; they don’t charge a fee but if Disney does, they will pass it on to you .
Is it safe to say that they are ordering Disney’s flexible policy ?
We understand that sometimes plans fall through. We do not charge a cancel or change fee. When the property charges such fees in accordance with its own policies, the cost will be passed on to you. Disney's Pop Century Resort charges the following cancellation and change fees.
Cancellations or changes made after 4:00pm (Eastern Standard Time (US & Canada)) on Jan X, 2021 or no-shows are subject to a property fee equal to the first nights rate plus taxes and fees.
As a former TA, I recall that every third party operates differently. When I worked at AAA, we would tell you the cancel by date was about a week earlier than what Disney (or wherever) actually was. This was to give us enough time to cancel it on your behalf without incurring any penalties. So, I would suggest reading the fine print of what the third party booking conditions are.
