If you arrive a day early...?

For driving to FW - if you make good time and realize by the Florida border that you'll make it there a day ahead of schedule, would you call FW directly to see if they had space to accomodate you, or still go through CRO? Or, would you just show up and ask at the check-in?

We usually stop in Ocala, it is about 1 hr drive to Disney. We get up early and arrive early and go to the parks. There might not be a space at FW if you arrive early, but it would be wise to call the campground direct. To me it seems the FW people checkout a little later than the hotels. We arrived at FW 10:30 am last Dec and they had no spot ready for us.

We stopped beforehand and called to see if they had a site for us a day early. Unfortunately, they didn't, but they checked all of the hotels and found us a room at the All-Star Sports for one night. They were very helpful.

On our recent trip we did not have the last 2 nights booked. We checked at the front desk daily but it was CRO that came up with the availability for those last two nights. So I would suggest calling both CRO and the campground.

We made real good time heading to WDW in 2004 and called ahead to FW to see if they had a site open. Unfortunately they did not have a space so we stayed right outside of WDW. We just got there early the next morning and checked in and went to the parks. It never hurts to call, they just might have a space open!
