Thank you for the review of the dessert party. I am trying it for the first time on my next trip. I wonder if they use the same pastry shell things for the mini desserts as 1900 Park Fare, since I liked the fillings there, but not the crusts.

I can't wait to try the shooters though, or that creme brulee. I am so excited for this party!

Thanks for the update on the Dessert Party. I am curious... when making our reservation the CM was very careful to explain (as they always do) that the price included tax but not gratuity. Since it is a buffet and you are not served, I am assuming there is no gratuity. Am I correct on this??

Yes... The crusts were not good. Off with the pastry chef's head!!!
The shooters were the bomb. I wish I had one (or 12) right NOW!!!

But I can't imagine they are expecting a tip. Where would you leave it? they are not serving you, correct? they are just refilling the platters of desserts? So tipping would not be expected. At CP meals you are being taken care of by a specific server, whether it is a sit sown location or a buffet. This is not quite the same, I think. I hope!

First, thanks so much for the wonderful review of the MK dessert party! We'll be attending ours on October 14th ... a little more than three weeks to go! Everything looks delicious ...

As for tipping - since everything at this event is prepaid and truly self-service I don't think there is any need to tip. I think you were just fine Ms. H.

I don't really like sweet things, but there's enough chocolate at that buffet for me to maybe experiance it sometime if they keep it around. It looks very pretty though- even to a nonsweet tooth like me.

I forgot to mention the chocolate chip cookies in my review. They were quite yummy and I ate about 1/2 a dozen or so... Enjoy a couple for me!!
