We will be there for Christmas day but my only set plan for the day so far is our ADR at O'Hanas in the evening.

We have been before and last time we had a lazy morning and then played the crazy golf at BB, before enjoying an ice cream on the BW - I quite fancy that again if the weather allows :goodvibes

On Christmas Eve we hope to be in MK and see the fireworks and will stay to the very end, hence the lazy Christmas morning. At the minute it is saying MK will close at 11pm but it may be later.

I always love to hear what other people plan to do - so anyone willing to join in:santa:

When we went in 2010, we didn't worry too much about getting up too early. We had a lazy morning and were in Epcot before 12. We did all the rides we wanted, toured WS, had lunch in America and then went back to our villa for dinner!

However, Xmas 2013, there will be 12 of us and the youngest will be 4. From conversations over the past week, my guess will be we'll have a day much like yours. Morning with presents, swim in the pool, buffet lunch in villa...

In 2006, there were 5 tornados in the area and it rained torrentially all day, so instead of going to MK, we went shopping on I-drive in all the bargain stores!

Hi are Christmas plans are very different now to what they used to be:santa:

We have been going for Christmas now for many years, and when DD's were younger we used to spend the morning in the villa opening presents then go to the Contempary for Brunch at Chef Mickey's then spend a good few hours drinking cocktails :woohoo:, maybe sit on the hotel beach for a while, let them play in the arcade and let them buy a Few gifts with some Christmas money people had given them in the hotel shops, before heading back to the villa for a swimming evening:lovestruc. We have never actually visited a park on Christmas day but usually spend Christmas eve a Epcot.

Now the 2 oldest DD's are older they decided Chef Mickey wasn't for them so what we do now is just spend a real lovely family day in the villa. Usually it's opening presents, swimming, sunbathing (hopefully;))playing in the games room, plenty of bucks fizz (for the adults anyway:rotfl2:) whilst we listen the the Xmas cd's:cloud9::cloud9: and have a BBQ for dinner, not a sprout in sight:santa:

Not sure what will happen in the next few years now we have another : who knows it might be back to CM:laughing:

we were there last xmas and ended up in epcot due to mk being full on xmas day.

we did do the sleigh ride on xmas eve which was fantastic that was around 10pm the boys loved it and we saw fireworks while taking the boat over..

We were there too that year and braved Universal for a few hours - it did mean lower crowds if nothing else! :)

Sounds like you have tried most things - I hope we get some nice days this Christmas, although the locals think we are mad braving the water parks :scared1:

I have just seen a post on the sleigh ride and it sounds really nice. We plan on going over to FW to look round the decorations on the campsite :santa:

We paid for crowd control and spent Christmas day 2010 at Discovery Cove. Got lucky with the weather. It was a perfect Christmas day. Went to 1900 Park Fayre for dinner at the Grand Floridian and got dressed up. Kids didn't miss home one jot.

We were also there in 2006, the plan had been for us to spend a lazy in the pool but as it rained that went out the window! We ended up wandering round DTD which was deserted, it was a really dull day and we missed home :( So this yearthe plan at the moment is to brave the crowds and go to MK, we have Crystal Palace booked for lunch. I imagine we will leave after lunch and then hopefully spend the rest of the day by the pool. However, reading about spending Christmas eve in MK sounds really good so perhaps we will do that and then have a lazt day instead, decisions decisions!! I'm thinking Epcot for NYE :dance3:

Does anyone else fancy a meet this year at some point over Xmas/new year?

That's a great idea but more touch and go with the weather in December :):) It sounds like you all had a perfect Christmas day.

In 2010 we were MK on Xmas Eve and it stayed open until 12 o'clock - we went on BTM for the last time and had a slow walk out. A kind guest took a picture of the family on main street and the clock shows 12.45am - so technically we did manage a bit of Christmas day as well :rotfl2:

If you are looking at a meet, perhaps it ought to be at a resort as it may be easier to manage with the busy crowds?

This will be our first xmas in florida and have chosen to do Discovery Cove on xmas day, with sanaa for an evening meal and then a sleigh ride

This will be our first year at Christmas! We will be there the 17th though the 22 d at AoA. We plan on visiting all four parks, Epcot the first day (Monday), Hollywood Studios on Tuesday (gotta see those Osborne lights!, AK on Wednesday and MK Thursday and Friday, ending with MVMCP on Friday. We plan on the Grand Floridian to see the Christmas tree and gingerbread house. I've made all of our ADR's except for Be Our Guest. We'll dine at Trex, O'Hana, Rainforest Cafe, Cinderella's Table, Cape May Cafe and hopefully Be Our Guest for all our table serviced meals. One quick service meal will definitely be at Be Our Guest and Tomorrowland Terrace. Our girls will also being doing the Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Boutique right before dining at the castle. We are also planning on catching Joyful! At Epcot and the fireworks at MK. I'm hoping my youngest DD will be ok during th fireworks, she hates the sound but maybe being at Disney will make it enjoyable. Is there's any other must sees please let me know, I want them to have an unforgettable trip!

I think you have an action packed few days planned there - certainly covering most things. I hope you have a good tine and manage to fit everything in :)

We arrive at OKW on 13th Dec. We are doing lots of character meals as we have DD and its her first visit!

We are MVMCP on 16th December, have LTT early dinner booked but hope to get it changed for BOG!

On Christmas eve we are having a late lunch at CRT for DD's 4th birthday, then back to OKW hopefully for a rest. Then that night we are doing the pirates and pals cruise ( finally managed to book it!)

Christmas day we are back to MK for lunch at Crystal palace with Pooh and co! I know we won't get many (if any rides) done but I just want to "be there" on Christmas day!

Boxing day we are at EPCOT and will be eating at Biergarten.

Claire :)

Claire that sounds like a perfect Christmas for your DD's Christmas at WDW, and birthday. In many ways I would go into MK on Christmas Day (we have in the past) but I don't want to be up that early and if we can stay late on Christmas Eve we will all be tired and should enjoy a more lazy day :)
