I started following him on IG at the beginning of his voyage (I think maybe 2 or 3 days in). Very happy to see him get to Hawaii Cant wait to see where his journey takes him next, he seems like such a lovely person.

I think he might make you smile Sam. I saw something about him in the news and then found him on YouTube. Just a really sweet guy...maybe around 30. He was diagnosed with a nasty medical condition, decided to seize the day, cashed in his 401K, bought a used boat to sail around the world with his cat. I believe he got to know his boat and learn to sail a bit locally for a year, and then set out from Oregon to Hawaii. He posts daily. It's just a sweet story.

I'm a bit worried for him honestly, as he seems to be an introvert, and the number of people who met him in Hawaii was intense. He may end up being more famous than he'd bargained for I'm afraid. I'm not sure where he's headed next....have to check in.
