Hello ladies! Just got back from an over-night on the Cape to celebrate dd's bd (#9 on tuesday) and I got to go to this place:
http://www.colorfulcreations.net/
AWESOME store!!!! They have been at this new location for two years and what a beautiful store! It looks small from the front but it goes waaaaaaay back. The back area is a classroom and by the schedule it looked like they have a lot of great classes. Of course I don't retain much more than water these days so I can't remember everything that was there but it was all beautiful!
Lots & lots of papers, rubber stamps and embellishments. And what I loved most of all were all the samples of pages and projects all over the place. There was even a notebook of WONDERFUL atcs! I loved all the mini books and I wish I could have remembered how to make them all. I didn't have my camera with me and I am not sure if they let you take pictures.
The two ladies who were working there were very friendly and helpful. Another customer found one of their samples (a mini album made with two shells for the covers - cool!) and asked if they had the supplies to make it. One of the ladies walked her around to find everything.
I could have spend ages in there just walking around and around, but I had dd with me and she got impatient after she picked her item (a puffy pen set) and I had dh & ds in the car waiting - we were on our way to check in at our hotel (The Cape Codder - GREAT!)
I do like my LSS, but I would LOVE it if I had that store close by!! (My Visa card would really get a work out!)
What did I get? Well, dd got her puffy pens, I got ds13 a tin to alter (he's into acrylic paints right now and just painted one of our ds lites)
For me:
* 3 of the really nice Memory Makers markers (marine, grass & cherry)
* 2 Deja Views sticker sheets Fresh Verse
* Cardboard pieces and accordian cardstock for mini albums
* Bo Bunny Dear Santa sticker sheet
* Sandy Lion vintage Mickey/Minnie sticker sheet
* Reminisce Die-Cut sticker sheet with Valentine type stickers
* 2 scalloped heart sheets
* 2 circle scalloped MM sheets
* Stamping Station Massachusetts sheet (it has the name of various Massachuetts towns written on it. Dd has a state project to do and this paper will be great for it)
* Two sheets of paper with Hyannis written in different fonts all over it.
* A pack of 100 blank atcs from Hampton Art
* Really cute mini license plates from Karen Foster (MA & FLA)
* Rubber stamp from catslife press - circular with Random Memory No. on it with 4 lines underneath to write on
* Reminisce sheet of self-adhesive MA maps & such (another good find for dd's project)
* EK Success pack of two Red Sox banners (again, good for dd's project)
* Red lobster die cuts small & medium - no name
* 7 Gypsies Beach Vacation kit - comes with a mini album and papers & other fun things - haven't opened it yet.
* KI Memories 4x4 turqoise mini album - too cute!
* American Art Stamp - lady holding a cup of coffee with mouse ears on her head and saying: "You're never too old to be young"
****************************************************
So I guess all that qualifies me to *NOT* be on the ban wagon, eh?
Great place and I highly recommend it! I am already hoping to find a free weekend next month to go down again!
