Hi.. I'm leaving in :cool1: a week (dec18)
It's our 1st trip to universal. I have 3 days there until i go to WDW. I'll be by myself with DD(8) and DS (5).
My parents will be there too but I don't know if they'll go to the parks alot.
My question, my kids like to sleep late. If I stay on-site and have FOTL, can we sleep late and not get to the parks until 11.
MY kids (esp my son) is not big on rides, he just likes to meet characters, but we do love shows.
Thanks for all your help. I can't believe after 1 yr of waiting, we are almost there.

Yes! That's the beautiful part of FOTL, especially at this time of year. We never make it to the park before 11:30, and are always able to do what we want. During the busiest times of the year, this may not be advisable, but you should have no problems the week before Christmas.

Being able to sleep in and not be rushed makes Universal a much more relaxing vacation for us.

Yes, you can sleep in late if you don't care about
1. Riding in the front seat of Hulk
2. Riding in the front seat of Dueling Dragons
3. Riding Pteranondon Flyers with a short wait

Seems like you'll be ok going late. 11am is when everyone shows up.
If you go early and arrive at 9am, the walkways are empty for a couple hours.

The other advantage to going early is the kid play grounds. Some of them have water guns and nerf guns the kids can shoot. If you get there when it's packed, your kids won't get a turn, or they'll have to wait in a line for their chance.

But you can always go back to your favorites.
