........to go to Universal and IOA, which should we do first? We are 6 adults that love thrill rides, and are not interested in kiddie rides or characters. We may squeeze in a second day, but just in case we can't we would like to be able to do the best of the best in one day. Thanks!

Based on what you've said...I would say IOA would be your best bet. You can do the bigger attractions w/o much of a wait...assuming you get there at opening and then head over to the Studios once you're done. The only attraction at the Studios that will be an issue is the HR3. No one knows what kind of wait time to expect on a daily basis.

Totally agree with IOA first. DH and I did Disney/Universal without kids three years in a row - right after Christmas every time. We had a blast! Despite being a busy time of year, we rode a lot with little waits. Take full advantage of single rider lines! Spiderman got longer the fastest so I'd hit that one first and then Hulk. Dueling Dragons is quite a hike into the ride. I think that scares off some people since the lines were never that bad when we were there. Plus, they don't make you do the long walk everytime.

Despite having 2 day park hopper, we always did both parks both days pre-kids. We'd do the thrill rides many, many times at IOA in the morning. Then we'd need a break from the high intensity, so we'd go to US for the afternoon. Then back to IOA for night. We walked quite fast and never had a formal touring plan but still had no problems with wait times. (If you stay on-site, then you're even less likely to have long wait times. We stayed off-site pre-kids).
