If WDW added another park what sort of park would you love to see?

This topic has me daydreaming.

My favorite is Magic Kingdom, to me it is the best laid out and full of my most favorite things, when I go I usually set two visit days aside for MK.

If there was to be another park I would love to see another Kingdom with maybe a cluster of 3-4 castles with a courtyard and multiple princes and princesses. Same sort of layout as original MK & DL, the first were the best. Similar rides, they are so enjoyable. Also the entire circle perimeter could be filled with restaurants that offer views of the fireworks similar to EPCOT but have people movers like airport escalators from inside the parks to the restaurants to parking that avoid the absurd long walks at Universal. Over at Universal they had the right idea with he dining outside the parks but the followthrough missed a step because the walk is just way too much and becomes a chore, I am way to cranky by the time I get to the restaurants to want to linger. New park ideas are happy thoughts.

Something like the late, great Gaslight Village in Lake George, NY.

Vaudeville theming. Zero IP. Old timey rides like a ferris wheel, bumper cars, scrambler, waltzer, wooden roller coasters, pendulum rides, carousel, flyers, a fun slide, gyro tower, a rotor, a whip, a troika. Bascially tons of small, fun, not exactly impressive rides with short waits. Tons of vaudeville stage shows - musical and comedic. Lots of camp. Carnival or circus atmosphere. Everything feels like Main Street USA.

My guess is that the future of theme park entertainment is virtual reality related, but I don't think they need a separate park for it. Those will likely be added to the existing parks in some fashion. I'd be happy to have a park where all the rides are functioning and open.

I would like to see Hollywood Studios renamed to something else (I’m not sure what - I’d have to think about it) and open a park dedicated to movie making like the original MGM Studios.

Let’s face it….Hollywood Studios has very little to do with Hollywood or movie making now. I loved MGM Studios and everything that went with it. I’m all for change and I enjoy Hollywood Studios - lots of fun to be had there.

But I’d love a park dedicated to Disney’s live action movies and TV shows - PotC, High School Musical, National Treasure, The Marvel movies and so much more. It would have sound stages, an updated backlot tour, demonstrations on how movie scenes are made. There could be rides like we see at Universal Studios. The possibilities are endless on what can be done. It would also have tributes in rides and shows to movies and TV of the past. And it would bring back our very beloved Osborn Spectacle of Lights, that we all miss so much.

I would love this

I would actually enjoy an "eras" park where each section is dedicated to a specific time period. If they wanted to fit characters in, they could do so by the time period the fairy tale was supposed to take place.

I don't think they'd ever do it, but a Disney-fied version of Meow Wolf would be fun. Imagine you explore a neighborhood full of character houses. But within the neighborhood there are secret doors that lead playgrounds, interactive art, little movie theaters, food stands, and dark rides.

I agree that the Studios part of the name should be retired. I am surprised they haven’t gone with the Kingdom moniker and changed it to Disney’s Hollywood Kingdom. Or they could go with Disney’s Hollywood Adventures, like DCA. The park does have the lovely Hollywood vibe when you first enter the park, and the attractions feel more blatantly movie and television based to me than the IP based attractions in the other parks. I miss the behind the scenes attractions of MGM, but I don’t know if they would still be relevant for today’s visitors since movie technology has changed so much and continues to change quickly.

I am not sure what direction a new park should take. So many people argue for a villains park, but I don’t know that a full park dedicated to villains fits with the Disney demographic. Perhaps a park with areas based on classical or fantasy themes, with a section for villains, one for heroes, etc., so that the people who enjoy villains can have their space, but it could be passed by if you have little children in your party. Or perhaps create the attractions from the villain’s perspective as opposed to the hero’s, such as a Little Mermaid attraction through Ursula’s view, or a Snow White attraction from the POV of the Queen. I think some of the current movies like Inside Out could be well represented in that type of park (although, to be honest, I am surprised they haven’t used the old WoL pavilion at Epcot for an Inside Out themed attraction). In fact, Inside Out could provide the “Main Street” opening view of the park, with the various emotions dictating the attractions in each area (for example, the villains area could represent fear or anxiety).

It’s not as easy as it looks to come up with a theme for a new park that would have wide appeal, especially when they already have four diverse operating parks.

Not that I think they will build one, but I would like to see something that doesn't have lands that are just one IP. Things would coexist, liek teh new Fantasy Springs expansion at Tokyo DisneySea. Speaking of, TDS would be a good model, though not everything would work. I like the idea of eras or maybe certain themes like music or mystery. I don't know, I think about it but then I realize why I am not an Imagineer. 🤣

Villains!!
Their castles and rides and restaurants and meets. Shows
I think that's one reason why the dark monsters area of Epic Universe has a lot of people very excited not just because of what details Universal released but because it's that darker side that is capturing people's attention. The Villains events at Disney all seem to be well received too and meet and greets well attended/sought after. I want to say there was that rumor long ago that there was supposed to be a villains area or park from Disney but I could be fuzzy on the details.

What they need to do is create attractions that could change from hero based during the day to villain based at night. Something simple like magic carpets of Aladdin could change to Jafar’s with a change of lighting and music and audio announcements.

Theming that doesn't get much love: Villains, Emperor's New Groove, The Rescuers, Atlantis, The Great Mouse Detective, Meet the Robinsons, Oliver & Company, etc. Would love a Hocus Pocus ride :cloud9:

I prefer this, I can't say I am into Villians so I'd probably avoid it unless it was blended in some kind of way & this sounds good to me.

Instead of Soarin being Soarin over California, it'll be Soarin over the Villages.
Just so long as they don’t film the worst of the shenanigans up there. . . 🫣

My first thought was that WDW as is would be like Schmigadoon season one. Disney’s Florida Adventure would be like Schmigadoon season two . . .

A villains vs heros park where all the rides are actual thrill rides and there's an Yzma roller coaster where she yells "pull the lever krunk!" right before the coaster car gets launched down a massive drop.

There could be a big hero 6 coaster where you fly through San Fransokyo.

And could you imagine a princess and the frog themed coaster where you're Ray (he's the real hero of that movie!) fighting the shadow man!?

I love roller coasters and I love WDW but they don't have enough roller coasters.

If I remember correctly, many years ago, there was a discussion of creating and Isles of the lost section in Magic Kingdom and it was supposed to be dedicated to the villains but I'm not sure if that was a legit Disney discussion or just rumor.

One of the scene transitions is two people in golf carts colliding into one another due to going too fast in the carts they modded to go over the 25 MPH limit.
