If $$$ was no object...

I'm sitting here dreaming about winning the Powerball jackpot (which is impossible, since we didn't buy a ticket :P) and wondering if money was no object, which resort would you pick to stay at and why?

:scratchin I'm still pondering my answer.

We've fortunately in a very good position that we've been at our mostly top choice which is the Boardwalk for convenience to DHS and EPCOT, as well as we just enjoy the resort. Though I guess if truly money were no object we'd be in the over water bungalows at the Polynesian, who doesn't want to feel like they're in Bora Bora?

I've always wanted to stay at the Grand Floridian. I finally decided it was time to make it happen. We will be there for 4 nights the first week of February. I picked the least expensive time of year, kept the stay as short as possible and we are staying in the least expensive category. I also worked really hard to get the nightly rate down by cancelling my original reservation through Disney and booking with Orbitz, then cancelling and rebooking with Orbitz when they had a better promotion.

If money were no object, then I we would be staying in a one bedroom suite.

We actually prefer the Epcot resorts for their close proximity to Epcot, but I have always wanted to stay at the Grand Floridian since I first saw it.

I'd probably stick with my "home at Disney" of CBR. I just have no desire to stay "deluxe" - moderate is just fine for me. I'd rather spend the money on other things like traveling the world and getting my dream place in the Village. :)

Bungalow or one of the huge suites.

On the news this morning, someone won $100,000 at the same store where I bought my powerball tickets. :faint:

If money was really no object I would probably buy a home at Golden Oak. While waiting to close I would love to spend a few weeks in the Presidential Suite at the Grand Floridian. I would even just love one night there! I didn't win the jackpot though so I'll have to keep dreaming :guilty:

We've stayed at all the deluxe resorts, but usually in the lowest room category unless we could get a really good room discount. So, if money were no object, I'd do a 14 day trip. I'd have a hard time choosing between a TPV club level suite at the Grand Floridian, over the water bungalows at the Polynesian, TPV club level suite at CR maybe for a night or two for DD 4, and that giant famous Savannah view suite they have a AKL.

I guess I'd need to do a few trips and some split stays!!!!!

I would definitely want to do a week in the main building CL at GF, in a TPV room! :cloud9:

But, I did not win Powerball, so our garden view room in an outer building will have to do.

One of the bungalows at Poly would be my dream spot I suppose
It's for sure a spot I can't afford otherwise.
Which brings up something I'm not sure I know, what is the most expensive room on property?
Are the Grand Villas or Presidential suites more expensive than the Bungalow?

Can you even book a Grand Villa if you're not DVC? But even if you could, my guess would be that the Presidential Suites would be more expensive since they also include club access.

No idea but I guess you can always rent through someone, with enough money :)

Or buy DVC for yourself. :teeth: I wouldn't mind having enough points a VGF to get a GV for 2 weeks at Christmas every year.

There you go!
I could do both, buy DVC contract with enough points for a week at a Bungalow and a week at a GV, 2 or 3 times a year.
