If UPS returns DME/Mickey Mail back to Disney......

I forgot about dropping it at the neighbor's, but I'm pretty sure it can't be redirected to another address because UPS would have to print up a whole new address label with a new tracking number.

She doesnt want it delivered to a different address, just left with a neighbour.

Why didn't she just call them?

She did call on Saturday and got no response. She also went online and the option to make alternate delivery arrangements was not working.

I think what people are wondering is, since this is being sent by UPS, are you sure it's from Disney? (not "are you sure it's UPS")

It is from Disney, it said so on the note that UPS left her. Also, I received mine on Thursday, same day they made her first delivery, and it was DME tickets.

Did you and your dd book two different WDW reservations?? And, did you book packages, or room only??

I made the reservations for all of us at the same time, through Disney by phone. The reservation was for the Memories package, 2 rooms, they gave me a separate reservation number with my address, and DD & family has her own reservation number with her address.

However, everytime the UPS guy just left my DME envelope in my mailbox,

DD doesn't have a regular mail box. She lives in a townhouse complex that has locked mailboxes. Only Canada Post and the resident can open a resident's box.

When I have package with signature needed, UPS cheerfully dumps them on any willing neighbour

I live in a condo and was not home when mine was delivered. UPS left it at the concierge desk, they always sign for packages. :thumbsup2

Had we known it would be such a hassle I would have booked everything under my address.....next time.....:thumbsup2

So DD managed to speak to someone at UPS today and was told that the driver would not pay attention to her note and would not leave the package with a neighbour unless she had signed the form and left it with the note, which she had not done.

She was also told that the driver would not just take it to the UPS Store because they are "not affiliated" :confused3 , DD would have to call the store first to get their permission to have it sent there.

DD asked how she could get the package since she is out at work during the day, and she was told that they would redirect it to her workplace, so she gave them the details.

When she arrived home, the neighbour had the package :rotfl2:

I meant why didn't she call *today*. Once she got to work, or before she left home, if UPS was there early enough.

Of course Canada is different, but when we have packages that can't be easily delivered to our condo (the door buzzer goes to DH's cellphone, but sometimes he doesn't hear it or is out of the country and doesn't even have his personal phone on) we call them at the number given on the thing they leave, and arrange to pick it up at their facility (not the UPS Store, but where they sort packages in the area). Our places actually have hours beyond 8pm, which is pretty cool.

When she arrived home, the neighbour had the package :rotfl2:

Glad it arrived, glad it got to the correct neighbor, glad the neighbor didn't steal it for themselves, etc etc (all the things UPS does worry about when leaving with someone without official permission)!

Sorry. Yes if it was mine I would have called UPS first thing in the morning, but she tends to sleep as late as she can and then has to rush around getting the kids to the babysitter and getting herself to work! LOL :upsidedow

Thanks, we're glad too :thumbsup2

Now we just have to worry about the next package....not sure what's in it but I understand we should expect another one. :)
