my parents and my sister won't qualify, either

they will both be very disappointed

Sorry, about your parent's and sister's disappointment.

In our case we are very fortunate since the reason we most likly will not qualify is because our income is too high.

Since our trip won't take place until March or June 2009 trip, we would use the savings to upgrade to a 1 bedroom villa at BC or BW.

Since we're going in two weeks, it won't help us. When I first heard of it, my first thought was "wow, we can upgrade!" LOL

How do people know that they won't qualify?

Based on income, I think I remember reading individuals with income under $85,000 per year and married couples with combined income under $110,000 per year.

Allyson :)

We won't change our resort (POFQ) as we leave in 7 weeks and are quite excited about trying this resort. We'll most likely use it to pay off our dining room set.

I plan to keep my hotel; however, that extra money will help pay for my trip, like gas money!

If this is approved, any idea of when we might get it?

this is what i've *heard*

june would be when the checks start going out

you must have paid at least $1000 on 2007 taxes

those who get eic or do not file taxes (like my parents) will not qualify

there might be additions if you have children

nothing is set in stone

oh, and dh said wilderness lodge

I will stay where I booked--- at the All Stars because I enjoy the fun atmospere not because the price is less.

BTW:
We most likly will not qualify for the financial stimulus package even if it does go though.

i want to stay at the all stars and pop for the same reason at least once at each

this trip is a belated honeymoon, so we opted for something romantic

Thank you! This would be very nice!

I would stay where we plan-Pop. But, I would love to upgrade our plane tix to 1st class. :lovestruc

We'd stay in the same spot. Most of the money will go towards paying off bills. But it might an extra meal or something special for the kids at WDW.

If we are fortunate enough to receive a tax credit, I wont be spending it at Disney.

By the time they mail these checks our stay will have come and gone. However, even if our trip were later this year I wouldn't use the money to upgrade or switch my resort. Being completely debt free (and loving it!), we'll put the money in savings and then eventually invest it in mutual funds for retirement.
