You never know holding out may mean the prices will drop even further...just keep your fingers crossed. Your doing the right thing sorting out you accommodation first if there is a chance that you won't get exactly what you want.

In the BBC World news it's saying that the hurricane is not as bad as they feared it would be, but hey still bad enough....prayers for the people affected:goodvibes

My fear is that we'll arrive a day later or something silly but would still screw us if we bought the flights now. I'll be nattering at Jenna in 4 weeks to make that ressie bright and early. :hyper: I need a chill pill.

I am glad the storm is not as bad. And yes prayers for those affected. :goodvibes

Are you working today? Did Niamh start school?

No work today....but I did go for a chat re a new job;) . Niamh is starting nursery a week on Thursday....9/11  could you get a more fatefull day:scared:

:thumbsup2 ::yes:: And let's keep the word to photos ratio to my liking. :snooty:
Well I'm at 500 photopass photos at the moment :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Becci wants signed up for JESS's TR....I'll have to sort her out with a username now:thumbsup2
That would be sweet :goodvibes

How old do they have to be to have a DIS account? Gab wants one too. Awww we'd start a 2nd generation off.
She was allowed an account but I had to fill in a permission form, it was meant to be posted to the US within 5 days (I think) so I e-mailed a webmaster saying that it probably wouldn't get there in time and they let me do it online, if she changes her profile etc I get e-mailed :thumbsup2

Tonight we went to some friends for dinner and cards. Their DD kissed Josh. :lovestruc Too funny. She said if they got married she be a Jew. :rotfl2:
Awww cute :rotfl2:

:hyper: I sure hope so. Last year we scored $200 pp rt which was a total fluke I'm sure. If we could get $300 pp rt I'd be elated! But with gas prices still high and a new disaster on the Coast of New Orleans, I don't see fuel costs dropping anytime soon. :sad1: Those poor people of New Orleans. Jenna did tell me that 95% have been evacuated so that's good.

Without having our ressie, I just can't chance buying them now. :upsidedow

Our flight prices just go up and up, well in school holiday times anyway!

No work today....but I did go for a chat re a new job;) .
And????? popcorn::

Weeeeeell....my CV is being forwarded to the company and then I'll need to wait and see if an interview is forthcoming but the agency guy seemed to think I was pretty well suited to the position.

Background story:- the rising price of everything except fresh air is making things rather tight financially in the McDonald home and with Niamh starting nursery next week 5 afternoons a week I don't really have an excuse for just working two days. I love my job, it's incredibly interesting and appeals to my :hippie: soul BUT it does not sit well with my finances and Disney asperations so I have to either get another PT job to do along side it or get a FT job:sad2: . I know, 9/11 is a rough day. I know a woman who had her child on the 9/11. :sad1:

:cool1: You make my trippie heart soar!!!!! I do love more photos than words. Dawn does a good trippie too!

Gab's been begging. Oooo, maybe I'll let her have one for Hanukkah. It'll be a cheap gift! :rotfl:

:sad1: I hate that. We don't fly a ton so I am not sure about price patterns. DH said we'll fly regardless but it would be nice to score a deal.

You're correct a CV is a resume. The new job would be a five minute walk from my home so it scores big points straight away. The position is a Visitor Centre Assistant at the local distillary...."Tour Guide Jakey" if you will:rotfl2: . Duties include guided tours, giving presentations, serving whiskey, working in the wee shop and chatting to the visitors (not exactly a stretch for me that last one is it ;) :lmao: ). I don't know if I'll be in with a chance because they would prefer someone with another language and my schoolgirl French couldn't really be considered that by any stretch of the imagination:rolleyes: . Thanks for the pixiedust: , I think I could really get into this job too if I was given the opportunity.

Have you worked as a barmaid before? I did years ago when I was in my late teen and loved it, it was like going out without having to pay for it:love:

:thumbsup2 The job sounds fantastic and within walking distance- huge bonus!!!!!! I hope you get it. Paid to be a Tour Guide Jakey!!! Does it get any better? :cloud9: I mean really. It's like the job was meant for you. Or me. ;) What are the hours?

I have been a barmaid several times. It's one of my favorite jobs to work!!!! :lovestruc Truly. It's social and the money is fab!!!!

9/11 and 7/7?

Gab is being a little turd so when she shapes up her sass of a mouth I'll let her. I am thinking BabyYenta? :rotfl: Have you thought of a name for Bex?

I know it sound so cool but I don't want to get my hopes up. Hours I'm not 100% sure of, I think it's 9-5 but I will have to get that confirmed. You also get 10 bottles of whiskey a year plus a staff discount (pity I cant stand the stuff:rotfl2: )

So where are you thinking of for the post DVC digs?

Guess what I've been doing today...looking at planning a beach BBQ at the GF for the day of my birthday. I know  but now that I've made the decision about working FT I'm now mentally spending the extra money before I've even got an new job:lmao: ...I think I need and intervention  I'm thinking character meet, designer b/day cake, etc, etc....

Up to 571 now :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: That's my girl!!!! And Jess is doing a great job on the trippie. :goodvibes

Very cheap :rotfl2:

Hell, with 7 nights of Hanukkah, their stockings, and a family gift from Santa, free looks good!

What is this BBQ about? You can plan a BBQ at the GF? popcorn:: :hyper: Gimme the skinny!!!

Right now I am debating renting points for WLV or OKW or AKV or getting 2 rooms at the PoP or the ASMusic suite or staying at the POR which would be the most cost efficient or fibbing and saying there will only be 4 of us to a room and since we'll have our tickets already they'd never know and staying at POFQ or CSR.............And before everyone gets all uppidy over it :snooty: the hotel people in Vegas say this is common practice and they could care less. They just want their rooms full.

Okay, now you can flame me. :guilty:

Hey join the cheap club, both ourselves and the other couple we are going on holiday are giving the kids their 14day ultimate tickets as their big Santa pressie this year:rolleyes1

Okay I've been following a PTR by Jacyns called "Prelude to a WDW Dream", she's planning the most amazing party for her family and friends and she has totally inspired me....only problem is the money but hey when I'm a FT member of the workforce I'll be rolling in it;) :lmao:

No flames here girlie, if you can get away with it do it. BTW we stayed at CSR in 2001 and absolutely love it:thumbsup2

Glad to hear you loved CSR. That's where we're staying in December! :yay: What did you like about it?

Jenny, that's great that your airfares are dropping. I hope they stay low when you're able to book!

CSR is a really beautiful resort, I know some people talk about it being a bit too big but to be honest it never felt crowded and we really enjoyed the walk round the lake to the Pepper Market. The pool has excellent themeing and the Pepper Market is an excellent place to eat:thumbsup2 . All in all no complaints from us at all, in fact I'd go back there in a heartbeat:cloud9: , if you like it half as much as we did you'll have a fabby time Bev

Kirsteen, I am thinking about giving them their tickets from Santa as well. :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 Great minds think alike! :goodvibes

I am gald you liked the CSR!!! It's looks so fun and I have read great things about the Pepper Market!

Do you have to be staying at the GF to have the party? I can hardly handle all the cool things WDW has to offer! :hyper:

:thanks: They only thing we couldn't do is EMH but after a week's worth it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Chloe is truly the size of a 6 y/o so fitting them all in a queen is really not an issue.

Jenny, that's great that your airfares are dropping. I hope they stay low when you're able to book!

They are still $350 today but I have to wait until our DVC ressie is final. :hyper:

I can't take the suspense of it all!!!! :upsidedow

No you don't have to stay there it's done through GF event planners...I'll PM you the message Jay sent me when I quizzed her about it. Not cheap but not as bad as you would think

Really, if I were you I would totally go for it...you could always get one of those blow up bed thingies

^^^^ Skint, I like it! ::yes:: They are already getting new phones for Hanukkah and a bunch of other loot. I think tickets to WDW are a sweet gift! :thumbsup2

:hyper: Please PM the message. We'll be there for my 40th too. :cool1:

 I am really thinking about it. We weren't going to do the DDP anyway after DVC anyway. ;)

Kirsteen, all I can say is OMG! :faint: :lovestruc :cloud9: pixiedust: Heavenly magic!!! It might be one room at the PoP and a killer party for my bday!!!! :wizard: ;)
