I know!!!! Jenna and I did decide a few things. We'll arrive 5/9, stay off property, and then check into to our room on 5/10. Stay through 5/15, check out of DVC, and then check into our new room, where ever that may be. I have been checking online and maybe Disney's site is having issues but it already looks like May 2009 is filling up.

I LOVE "The Captain" and never get a hangover when I indulge in his heavenly liquor . I have been a true and not in the least way Jaked but my friend is just back from her voluntary work in Ethiopia and she is planning a swalley fuelled catch up so it looks like I'll be going from to very soon

She was teaching street children to help them reach the level required to get into primary education and she absolutely loved it, in fact she was very sad to come home. She stayed with nun's in a convent for her time there and is now going back to being a student to do her post grad so it'll be one extreme to the other her liver is not going to know what's hit it

No trip updates yet....I would so love to do May ( especially with a certain hinting at an appearance) but we're stuck for June now . May be you gals could have a wee quickie trip during my birthday week...I can always get you a room at the discounted rate .

I would LOVE to swing down in June but as it stands now, my 11 days in May will be a little bit of a stretch. DH did agree to fly no matter what the cost. It's a 30+ hour drive so for giggles I Mapquested it. With fuel, hotels for 6 nights (3 on the way, 3 back), and food it will cost $2,000 which is what flights will cost if I bought them now.

Our plans are coming along. I am thinking about renting DVC points for the last few nights of the trip. I can't really decide what to do or where to stay.

The flights I have been watching dropped $100 per person! We won't have our super solid dates until the 7 month DVC mark. We are 99% sure but if the DVC we want is not available until a day before or a few after, our plans could change. Argh!!! I hate this part of planning.

I sure hope so. Last year we scored $200 pp rt which was a total fluke I'm sure. If we could get $300 pp rt I'd be elated! But with gas prices still high and a new disaster on the Coast of New Orleans, I don't see fuel costs dropping anytime soon. Those poor people of New Orleans. Jenna did tell me that 95% have been evacuated so that's good.

Without having our ressie, I just can't chance buying them now.

You never know holding out may mean the prices will drop even further...just keep your fingers crossed. Your doing the right thing sorting out you accommodation first if there is a chance that you won't get exactly what you want.

In the BBC World news it's saying that the hurricane is not as bad as they feared it would be, but hey still bad enough....prayers for the people affected
