Lovin' that your educating your kids on polical issues this is an area where some parents think they don't need to bother but it is so important. Becci kind of get's politics and world injustices ramed down her ear holes alot but it get's her thinking and she's not complained so far so it can only be a good thing .

That is a story but I am kinda glad you asked because I was pissed and I think I had every right to be:

So earlier this week, as you know, DH and I planned to have a date night tonight. I had to work all day, he was home, plan was to do dinner and a show.

Between his and Gab's phone I called no less than 20 times trying to get hold of him to see what he was thinking for tomight. Sometimes we go into SLC so I didn't want to drive back to Clinton from Bountiful only to turn around and head back into SLC. I kid you not, I called at least 20 times and not one single time did anyone from my family answer their cell, not once.

So as I am sure you can imagine I was ticked by the time I arrived home at 6:30, after sitting in traffic for 45 minutes, to find not only had the kids not had dinner but DH was still all gross from working in the yard. I walked in to an almost silent house. I peeked in the basement when no one greeted me and heard the music so knew DH was done there.

When he came up all stinky, about 15 minutes later, and asked what I wanted to do for dinner I almost lost it!!! Like at 6:30 when he hadn't showered nor had the kids ate nor had we even touched base to see what we were doing was I going to scramble for a sitter or anything.

I told him my saga of calling a half a trillion times only to get NO answer. He looked at me with this blank irritating stare (can you tell I am still PO'd) and I said since we have no sitter and no plans we'll just eat here. I warmed up some pasta for the kids and made a sandwich for myself and watched MSNBC until about 8 pm.

I think we have said all of 5 words to each other all night.

So.......would you have been mad?

One thing I've learned over 16 years, is that my dh just doesn't get it. So, I've learned to spell things out for him. Otherwise I can stomp around being pissed for hours and he's still clueless.

I guess I should have been more clear but after I told him why I was upset, he still didn't get it. Let me rephrase that, I think he got it but didn't care enough to deal with it. We've been married too long for him not to get it.

And then of course, through no one's fault but my own, I'll be the one to make the first move. I won't apologize because it's not warranted but neither will he. Ever. I will just start chatting until he comes around. Why is it that when he pisses me off, he has to come around?

I will never get to bed being this torqued.

And I am hungry to boot. That small sammie did nothing for me.
