You are so right I feel that we all get on really well on this wee thread and it's sad when one of our number is missing for no apparent reason:sad2: .

:rotfl: Becci's birthday was way back on 22March. I meant to say a while ago that it was March not May, but thank you for thinking of her honey she had a blast:cool1: . How was your Anniversary, did Nate treat you like the Goddess that you are:worship: princess: ?

Are the kids bouncing of off the walls at the thought of their trip:dance3: ? I can't believe it's so soon:banana:

Oops!! I must have missed that! Sorry!! Well, it really was a happy belated birthday then!

Our anniversary was nice. Nate brought me home roses and a Starbucks Caramel Macchiato (my favorite). We went out to dinner to my favorite local Mexican restaurant and were going to go out afterward but I was feeling pretty miserable. I went to bed early and woke up at 4am feeling very nauseous. Don't want to give TMI but my head spent my time in the toilet than on my pillow this am. And I didn't even have any alcohol!

The kids are very excited! Jon was hounding me for info. last night about when we will ride certain rides. He wants to ride Toy Story Mania first. Not likely since it will be Star Wars weekend at the Studios, and I'm not going there first!:sad2:

Jenny :wave2:

Kirsteen, let us know how the chat goes tonight, what would you prefer????

BTW I won't be here much next week, I'm off to my Dad's in Suffolk for the school holiday, I hope to jump on occasionally though :goodvibes

Okay (Goofy)Jen you must be peeing your pants with excitment round about now:yay:

Has Lady Tremaine arrived with her dumbells yet:rotfl: ?

We're hopefully booking our flights this weekend:woohoo: , we're just waiting to see if it's going to be just Becci's BFF coming with us or if her whole family are coming. Big pow wow this afternoon with the other family and I don't know whether to be :yay: or :scared: ....oh well in the words of Doris Day (and my mum) "What ever will be, will be":hippie:

I've just read the last sentance and I'd like to clarify that Doris Day is NOT my mum....but a phrase my mum uses is "What's for you won't go past you" (the Scottish Doris Day if you will)

Lady Tremaine is in the house! :lmao:

I'm really not sure what I want:confused: . We like Chloe's parents alot they're really good company and I've made it clear about us all doing our own thing as much as we all feel is necessary. The only fly in the ointment is the wee bro can be a bit of a challenge:scared1: (I'm trying to be nice here, did you notice?) so I can see where the flash points could be:scared: . Who knows:confused3 Chloe's DM is coming up tonight after she's dropped the girls at the pictures and we'll have a proper chat about money etc. I'll post later tonight to give you an update.

Have a fabby time:goodvibes at your Dad's place, it's great to have a break and a change of scenery isn't it:thumbsup2 We'll miss you loads:grouphug:

A wee update...there has been much humming and hawing over the weekend and I decided to phone this morning to say we were booking one way or the other because we didn't want to miss out on the flight rate. However Chloe's mum phoned this morning to say that their rate for 5 had jumped up considerably (can anyone do the told you so dance:rolleyes1 ) I went on the Virgin site and got our flights for £2400/$4800. Chloe's mum phone Virgin and was hung up on four times without even speaking to anyone, she phoned a TA and she said that there were only eight seats left at the lower rate out of Glasgow and someone was already holding 4 of these:rolleyes1 . Long story short the McDonald's are now booked to fly direct out of Glasgow on 27Jun'09 and the Connell's will be flying out of Manchester:woohoo: :cool1: . As there will be five in their party we're thinking of staying at POR to keep the cost down(need info on POR pls folks as we have never stayed there)...that is unless I can do some fancy footwork between now and Oct/Nov when we're able to book the accommodation. If anything happens that we can't get the discounted rate I think we might stay offsite:scared1: in one of those luxury villas (don't know how I feel about that but I'll cross that bridge if I have to come to it:( )

Hope you've all had a fabby weekend...lucky old (Goofy)Jen's in the mothership:cloud9: as we speak:faint:

Not long now Jenna:dance3:

Yay!!!! Your flights are booked!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :cool1: :yay: :dance3:

As for POR, I liked it when we stayed there. I thought the pool area was nice and they had a good food court. Now, I only stayed there two nights so I can't be the best judge. Our building was close to the main building & pool so it wasn't too far to walk. However, it can be a bit of a walk if you are in one of the far buildings. Buses on the other hand may be a bit of a :headache:. Jenny had some horror stories about the busing situation from Sept. :worried:

I'm really getting excited about our trip!!:hyper: The kids go to school 9 more days and then summer baybee!!!:cool1: :dance3:

I am so excited:hyper: only 298days...:rotfl: how sad am I?

I have heard that the transport for POR can be a bit pants:worried: but you know me it's still at the back of my mind that we might get the BC/Poly combo;) . We're very restricted because the other family are a family of five and POR looks like one of the few affordable options. Another option is to stay offsite, there are some gorgeous villas very close by but in my mind it's not Disney so it is a very poor second:(

It is so close to your trip now it's not surprizing that your so :hyper: Do you have a revised plan of action and dining schedule...is so please share popcorn::

Lonely, I'm so lonely...does anyone know the words to this song? Hello.....HELLO...is there anybody there:worried: ? All my friends are either on the naughty step, on holiday, planning holidays or just not coming out to play:( I am Billy Nae Mates:sad2:

If there's anyone out there :listen: why don't we start a campaign to :mic: "Free the Utah One"...it wasn't her, she wasn't there at the time....honest Guvnor big boys did it and ran away. We all need a dose of Rentayenta:sunny: to get us back on track:moped: .

I'll go away now to my G & T and rambling on to no one in particular:sad: ...heavens I might even have to start spending time with my family:scared1:

I'm here, I'm here Kirsteen!! :goodvibes Sorry to leave you all by your lonesome self! Crazy busy today as it's the weekly "clean day" in my household. Yeah, I know I said I wouldn't clean again after my injury two weeks ago, but the house is too dirty even for my standards!:crazy2: :rotfl2:

Plus, I need to find my clothes and stuff for my trip!:thumbsup2 I think I'm doing more packing then cleaning.:rotfl:

I miss Jenny too! I've had the pleasure of a couple of phone conversations with her and she has been crazy busy at work. One of her colleagues was on vaca (until today) so poor Jenny had to do all of the work.:headache:

I promise I will be back later to post the new details (with kids) of my trip!:goodvibes

We leave 1 week today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:  :yay: :dance3:

The kids have an early dismissal at 1:00 next Friday. We are picking them up at school and heading out! We will drive to SC and spend the night in a hotel. For years now, Nate has wanted to go to Patriots Point in Charleston, SC. Well, I managed to work it into the itinerary. When we wake up Saturday morning, we will head to Charleston. We'll look at some ships & airplanes. The things I do for love!;) Then it's off to FL baybee! Now depending how long it takes us to look at the ships, we'll be arriving late. So I got us a super cheapo hotel outside the gates of WDW. I know, the horror!!!!:scared1:

But we will wake up bright & early Sunday morning to go to..........yep, you guessed it, Disney's Hollywood Studios! Why? Because I'm crazy!! It's so my :chewy: :yoda: :darth: lovin' freaks, uh I meant children, can hang out at Star Wars Weekends. Why oh why am I subjecting myself to this again? After about an hour of the crowds, I'm sure I will have had enough. Then it's over to BWV to check in!!:cool1: We will rest by the pool, swim, check out the resort while waiting for our room to be ready.

We have a 5:30 ADR for Cape May Clambake over at the Beach Club. After dinner it's over to MK for EMH! It's open until 2am!!! Yay!:thumbsup2 I love MK late at night, so I will be :cloud9:. Will we survive to close the place? One things for sure, I won't be up before 10 on Monday morning!

More to follow!

Wow!

Wha a day you have planned! Sounds like one I would plan! I too, love MK at night! 2am? I wouldn't be up before noon. It is such a magical place and the night time is the most magical of all!! I am jealous, we wont be there until December. Have a great time!

Hi all, I'm back from my Dad's, didn't manage to DIS at all whilst I was there (since Sunday  can't believe I survived :rotfl:) so what have I missed???? popcorn::

Thanks Eileen! It really is magical, almost surreal. :goodvibes

You are right....noon is more like it! I will be sure the kids take a nap on that day! Even if I force them to nap by the pool!;)

OK.....here's day 2:

SLEEP IN!!

That's been the plan all along, even before the kids were coming with us. And I'm stickin' to it. When we do decide to wake up, the plan is a little swim & treats at Beaches & Cream.

At 5:00, the kids have a reservation at Simba's Clubhouse at AKL. Nate and I will be going to Jiko for our anniversary dinner (a few weeks late). After dinner, it's over to AK for EMH. Can you tell I'm a fan of those? Not the morning ones, mind you, because I am NOT a morning person!:lmao: But I :lovestruc being in the parks at night. AK will be open until 11! I don't think we'll be there that late though. Back to BWV for a somewhat decent night's sleep.:thumbsup2

Hi Jo!! We missed you!!:goodvibes You didn't miss much!! Poor Kirsteen's been lonely so I'm trying to keep her company!:)

Glad you're back! How was your visit?

Girlies you've come out to play:cool1: . Jenna your plans sound fabby, we're really looking forward to being able to go to EMH at night next year, we couldn't do it last year because Niamh was too wee. Have you been to Cape May Clam Bake before if so what was it like if not I'll be looking for a critique when you're back:surfweb: .

How was the break at your dad's Jo, was your weather good?

:wave2: Hi Eileen

I haven't been to Cape May before. I don't like seafood at all:crazy2: but there's enough other stuff on the menu to appease me. Nate, Jon, & Emma love seafood so they will enjoy it. Chris, well he doesn't like much of anything (he's a carnivore as he puts it), but the prime rib will appeal to him.

I will definetely give a you a review when we return. We have three new to us ADR's this trip: Cape May, Jiko, & Kona Cafe. The other table service is San Angel which we've done before & love!

We've done Cape May for breakfast and it was fabby so dinner should be good too:thumbsup2 Never done Jiko, Kona or San Angel. I'm getting so excited for you:hyper:

We never had a problem, we did have some pretty busy buses after fireworks but that's to be expected!

We leave 1 week today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:  :yay: :dance3:
OMG how exciting

Glad you're back! How was your visit?
It was good thanks, my DSis was also there with her DH and 2 boys who are 3 months and 14 months so we had some disturbed nights but I absolutely fell in love with her youngest I nearly brought him home with me :rotfl2:

How was the break at your dad's Jo, was your weather good?
Nope :rotfl2: The first few days were horrid and one night we had an enormous storm. The last couple of days have been OK though, we even managed a round of golf :thumbsup2

So 30 days must be up soon right???? Maybe we need a Jenny countdown for it :rotfl:

Great to hear your back and you had fun Jo:woohoo: ....did I get a waft of 'eau de broody':rolleyes1 ?

Thank you for making me feel better about POR, I've been feeling a bit guilty because I'm kind of insisting that we stay on site and not in a fancy shmansy villa but hey I'm the trip co-ordinator and what I say goes...end of story(because remember 'I want fabulous that is my simple request;) ):rotfl: . I'm still hoping and wishing for the BC/Poly combo but as I STILL haven't heard a dickie bird from the Tax Credit morons then I need to think budget, budget, budget:headache: Do you have some picies you could post of POR for me to get me in the mood:lovestruc ?
