Hey mum and dad are paying out big bucks for a Disney trip who needs anything more than that

I think the RC First Communion Hoopla's up here are more about keeping up with the Jones's, our village is predominantly Catholic as it used to be a mill village with alot of Irish immigrants so alot of people are competeing and it can get out of hand . I must add not everyone is like this but there are a good proportion that are.

I always have! DH and I were this close to packing the kids and car and driving to Disneyland for the week. He agreed and it was me who said no. I just can't rationalize putting it on a cc. We haven't used one over 7 months and I am really starting to change the way I view credit and how it's a bad cycle for me. Long story short, I could be on Soarin' right now.

Feeling your pain with the being responsible thing I admire you being such a grown up

Big D admits that without my superior planning skills our holidays would not be such a success but it doesn't stop him looking at me like I'm a mad woman when I talk about it or spend time on the Dis. Mind you he won't be complaining about me Dis-ing tomorrow night when the big Rangers games on tv and he wants peace to watch it .

I've not bought anything else yet but I have spotted some bargins for the girls that could be put away for next year . I don't want to really get into the spending spree until we've heard back from the Tax Credit people as I'm scared I'll be tempting fate and we'll end up not going

Michael does the same thing. he pokes fun at me the entire planning time and then once we are there he thanks me profusely for the fabulous holiday! Big jobby!
