:lmao: Okay I nearly pished my pants with the line abut your FIL.....do him and your MIL like to play Bay City Roller's music at the weekends;)

The plan now is that we will have to wait until about August to book our flights and we have to wait until Oct/Nov to book the 50% off rate for the accommodation:headache: . Not my ideal situation but hey ho there's nowt we can do about it. The only thing we're able to do at the moment is buy our 14Day Ultimate tickets, Disney are holding this years prices over to next year at present so its a reasonable rate (or as reasonable as you get at WDW:rolleyes1 )

:rotfl2: They totally rock out to the Bay City Rollers! S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night!

I would buy the tickets now before they raise the price!!! So have you decided on the Poly7/BC7?

Jenny, your trip sounded great (apart from the drive) shame about the lack of alchoholic libations though....you'll just have to make up for it on the next trip;)

The lack of libations was surprising. I mean don't we all need alcohol to have more fun? party:

Both kindergarten classes participate in an end of the year play that's linked to our yearlong study. We've been studying Egypt this year, so our play is an Egyptian myth. I spent some time yesterday painting lotus flowers, while parents painted Ra's throne. We're a little over the top here :rolleyes1

I hope more parents respond the second time around. Maybe they were just busy.

Field Day is so much fun. Do you usually have high parent involvement?

The play sounds really cool! I bet they love that. I don't know that you can be over the top with little ones; the brighter and bolder, the better! :yay:

Parental involvement is tough. Of course it seems to be the same 4 of us probably because it is. I work outside of the home so having a job is not a good excuse in my book. :rolleyes1

It cost $100 to go to the animal park, it costs more than $100 to fill the tank of our car :headache:

:faint: Over $100 to fill, what do you drive a Hummer? :lmao:

:cool1: for Chloe. :woohoo: :woohoo: Since last August, Jon has grown an inch. (He had been on the meds for 5 1/2 months) So, they upped his meds too. So, now we need an extra cartridge each month for the meds to last us the whole month . I almost died when I saw how much one cartridge of meds upped the cost per month. Luckily, we only have to pay a small coo-pay. We go in June for our 3 month check-up!!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: Yay for Jon!!!! One teeny tiny vile of Chloe's med costs about $2K. Right now I have about 10K worth of Increlex in my fridge. :scared1: BCBS finally paid Pharmacare for some of med and PSI picks up our co-pay for now. We had to send in our taxes to PSI and they said we make a little to much for the co-pay assisitance and asked if we had any debt. :rotfl2: I said how does $50K in student loans sound? They said fabulous! So for now, knock on wood, we pay $0 OOP.

It's countdown time babybees!!!!!

92 days until Yellowstone!!!! :dance3:

142 days until Disneyland!!!! :yay: :yay:

379 days until WDW!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I LOVE Bay City Rollers...I still have a picture somewhere of DBro and I "giving it laldy" to Shangalang at my first wedding reception....it was the best part of the whole day:rolleyes1

Once the tax credit people get back to me to confirm I don't owe them back ALL the tax credit payments I've received for the past 2.5years then I'll go out and buy those tickets in a flash. Another thing dependant on these lovely "government numpties" doing their jobs correctly is where we stay next year, all going well it will be Poly/BC but if it has to be CSR or POP I'll just suck it up 'cos hey it's still WDW right?

:scared1: How scary are the costs for the kiddlywinks meds? I know the NHS pretty much sucks nowadays but we don't have to pay for childrens meds so I'll think better of it in the future

:cool1: :rotfl2: I love that you played them at your wedding! :thumbsup2

Why do you have to repay all of your tax credits? :scared1:

NHS sounds pretty good right about now. Chloe's treatment, depending on when she hits puberty, will cost between $250K and $400K :faint:

:rotfl: Yes it wasn't just my ex that was a bit mad at that wedding:lmao:

They say we have to repay the tax credits because we don't qualify for them. One of my friends works for the Dept of Health and Social Security and she said that they are bloody useless and that what she recons they've done is look a my side of the form which shows that I work less than 16.5hrs a week and so don't qualfy...what they've not looked at is Donny's side which states he works 40hrs+ a week so as a joint claim we do qualify:confused: . Hell my DBro qualifies and he's a company director and makes at least double what Donny makes:mad: .

OMG that is a horrendous amount of money for a child who needs treatment...will your insurance cover it all?

Hell doll it's no wonder we partake of a wee swalley:scared:

:confused3 As long as I live I will never understand the govenment and the tax mentality and justification. Seriously. We are considered "middle class" whatever that means and take it from both sides. :rolleyes1 We make too much to qualify for xxxxx but make too little to get too far ahead. :headache: It is a crime. The middle class pays most of the taxes in the US. Clearly our president is an idiot. ;)

Thus far our insurance will cover this year for her meds (80%) We have to send in clinical once a year. For this first year I had to go through the torturous appeals process. I can see why people give up because they make it pure hell for the consumer  Chloe's MD did the first appeal and it got denied so I took over. No one will fight for my child like I will so after a second level in perosn appeal to the med director and a few other suits, it got approved for one year. I am guessing it will be more of the same throughout her treatment. PSI has agreed to cover the co-pay (20%) for 2 years. :thumbsup2 I am nothing if not tenacious and will be a PITA if need be. It's my hild afterall.

And even after I got it approved the insurance was still giving me grief about paying their 80%. They said because it's such a big amount they had to go through every morsel of paperwork but finally after weekly Monday morning calls, they sent me the first $6K which I quickly forwarded to the pharmacy. :hyper:

Funnily enough I've hear various similar statements made re Mr Bush;)

This is a bit of a nightmare for you, especially when you know it's going to be on going. As you say though we mum's will do what needs to be done when it comes to our brood and don't let any ar*e in a suit think otherwise.

Anyway we can all relax 'cos I've decided that I'm going to win the Euro Millions Lottery on Fri, it's a rollover of £46M ($92M), so that should see us all okay for a few years at WDW:banana: :rotfl:

My Chloe's favorite band is Green Day and on the way home from Az we were listening to American Idiot and she asked if President Bush was the American Idiot to which they were referring? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I felt a little pee trickle down. And I told her ::yes::

Good on ya for the Euro lottery because Jenna and I are winning the Powerball tonight!   I know I say this weekly but I am really in the mood to win! :yay: :yay: :yay: We'll definetly have a lottery winners meet too. And I love those people who say they will keep working. :rotfl2: They are either liars or high from the win because I would be outta here! :hyper:

Do you want to hear something even more ridiculous? I sent a letter containing copies of Donny and I's pay slips, P60's, etc, all the paperwork I could think of. They sent it back to me saying they didn't need to see these item and kindly enclosed THREE OTHER PEOPLES pay slips, P60's etc.:scared1: . I phoned them to advise what had happened and no one phoned be back for four days to tell me what to do with these items, just post them back in the royal mail:scared: . In these days of identity theft its good to know the government is looking out for us isn't it;)

I think you're a rockin' mom! Did I say that yet?

Jon's cost for meds is about 50K per year. That's not counting the ones besides the growth hormone. I pay a $50 co-pay each month. Small price to pay. Jon will have to be on his for the most of his life. Here's hopin' he gets a good job with great insurance!!! :scared1:

Anyway...you're an inspiration!

:rotfl2: Nope just a ford mondeo, a regular 4 door car!

Hope it stays that way!!!!

It really is ridiculous isn't it :sad2: Hope it all gets sorted!

:rotfl2: Okay, I thought that you were rollin' all Gen Xer driving a Hummer. :lmao:

I hope it stays that we have nothing to pay for a loooooooooong time. :worship: <---------- Me praying!

Nothing like a bit of confidentiality violation to make you feel safe. :scared1:

Awwww you are too sweet. We do what we gotta do; you know that better than most! I didn't know Jon has to be on the meds forever. :sad1: What a trooper. I am convinced that our small frys were put here to do great things! :goodvibes:

My goodness you guys have been chatty while I was in tax h-e-double hockey sticks!:rotfl2:

Thank goodness taxes are over for this year! Time to celebrate! On my way home from mailing them last night, I stopped at the liquor store. Got the BIG bottle of rum. Course we were too pooped to party last night, but tonight it'll be pina colada heaven!:cloud9:

And guess what else? I got my Disney planning DVD in the mail today so after the kids are in bed, I'll be watching it!! I think by that point, Nate will be too buzzed to care that I'm making him watch it!

Oh, and yes, DisneyDad, the murse is a growth...... a hideous, grotesque kind of growth......pirate: :rotfl2:
But if it means I don't have to carry a bag through the parks, I'll live with it!:3dglasses

I agree that working outside of the home is not a good excuse. I think in every school some parents are just more involved than others. I hope all of your parents pitch in.

As for our play, over the top is an understatement. Right now, we have to use a different accompanist because the one we always use is on tour and we have to figure out how and where to set up the camera crew. But it is a great experience and the children LOVE it.

I had one mom respond and offered a gift from Mary Kay. Guess what? She sells Mary Kay. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Mary Kay from a Mary Kay rep. How original :lmao:

Yup, a camera crew. Only in NY. I teach at a public school. Hard to believe, I know :rotfl2:
