:hyper: I'm here! You guys hadn't posted so I thought maybe I was chatting with myself. :rotfl2:

Tell us about the cake! :yay:

:lmao: I liken Nate to the nurse everytime I am in Walmart. That's where he buys his favorite murses. :rotfl:

So how are you girls? What's going on? What's new? How was your Easter? popcorn::

The past week was a bit mental, Becci's birthday party was a karaoke party at the local Chinese Buffet for 14 10-12year old divas:scared1: . I make cakes as a wee side line (it keeps me out of trouble) so Becci expects a themed unusual cake every year:scared: . Now what do you make for a 12year old who thinks she's 18 and too :cool2: for school?
This was the end result...(sorry couldn't get my photobucket to resize so it will be "The cake that ate New York" I'm afraid:scared: )
Rebecca_12_002.jpg

Chocolate sponge with chocolate frosting...we've got enough left to feed Africa!!!

Weathers been really sunny but Baltic temperatures. We went down to Loch Lomond today with the girls and it kept trying to snow...the girls didn't care we even took some pics of them at the loch side skimming stone:confused3

Jo, I don't think anyone at my dad's golf club would ever speak to him again if he turned up with a murse...West of Scotland Male Mentality (for West of Scotland Male read caveman;) )

Another countdown Jenny...WAY HEY DOLL:cool1:

So glad you girlies have resumed the blethering:cloud9:

Good thanks, we don't do huge family celebrations here like you do though! The weather has been rubbish cold and snowy but not enough to play in :headache: The girls have got far too many eggs and today we spent with my nephew as it was his first birthday :goodvibes

:rotfl2: We really don't do anything either because we are Jews. We did the egg thang like you but we don't have any religious affiliation.

It's still snowing there? :sad2:

:goodvibes I am glad you guys are here to blether with. I thought maybe you ditched me for the UK board. ;)

Oh honey you guys can't get rid of me that easily, when the patters flowing and folk seem to be on the same wave length as me I'm hooked....sorry your stuck with me:scared1:

Yes Betty is a closet "Buxom Brit":rotfl: , I think she was Donny's ultimate woman big ****s and made of chocolate:cloud9: . The party ended up costing a fortune (about the price of a 14day Ultimate ticket for WDW:scared1: ) but it was SO worth it when we could get up at four o'clock and leave the clearing up to the staff:thumbsup2 . The only problem that we did have was that the girls wouldn't sing at first:headache: so Big D stepped in and took over the mike:scared: ...lets just say he's no Bono:sad2: but it did give the chicks a laugh:lmao: .

I'm hanging in now for some trip planning snippets to feed my obsession:surfweb: ....c'mon Jenna, Jenny, Jordan, Jo (or anyone else...even if your name doesn't begin with J ;) Tracey) share the excitement:flower3: , spread the

I love that Donny got up and brought sexy back! Should we call him Justin? :rotfl2:

Chocolate b00bies! Every straight man's fantasy. :rotfl:

It's okay that the party was spendy. I am sure her and her buddies wll remember it for a long time. I hope you got pictures.

I do have a few planning snippets though for ya.

We'll be staying at the Howard Johnson's (sounds like a p0rn name) because of the killer rate I got.

5 day park Hoppers. :woohoo: 3 days in Disneyland and 2 in DCA.

I am going to try and drive the 11 hours straight to save a little dinero.

Keith and maybe Tracy are going to come out and meet us for the weekend.

Jenna is debating on brining Emma out but Jenna hates to fly. Like irrational fear of flying hates to fly. Like needs to be medicated hates to fly. We need to pressure her into going. pirate:

This trip sound like a total PARTAAAY...I'm so incredibly jealous. C'mon Jenna just get some happys pills and book the flights. I hate flying due to the fact that I had to attend a four day emergancy planning course when I worked for BA so I totally know how you feel BUT hey a Disney trip...go on girl you know you want to:rolleyes1

I have to say Donny was more Tom Jones that Justin:eek: and he earned alot of points for the party BUT.....those points were eliminated as of yesterday.

I have been getting a bit twitchy about booking the holiday for next year as Virgin are releasing their packages for 2009 from Glasgow soon (not that we're def using one of their packages but I needed a valid reason to stress and be on the computer for a while). Donny is adament that we NEED to travel direct from Glasgow with NO stops. "Okay we can go Globespan in May" (but they fly into Sandford and Donny wants to fly into Orlando International), "okay we can fly direct into MCO with Virgin but not until the end of June" (Donny wants to go in May). "The Virgin flight gets into Orlando til about 6pm" (hmm thats a bit late, by the time we get through immigration and pick up the bags it'll be very late) "well the Globespan flight gets into Sandford at around 1pm so even though we have to get a towncar to WDW we'd still be there at a reasonable time" (I don't fancy getting a towncar, how much will that cost us?)....AAAAHHHHH:scared1: if that boy's not careful he's going to get a kick in the pachangas.

Needless to say I'm no totally confused at what the plan is going to be now. I relayed the same conversation to DM today and she thought I was crazy for asking him in the first place..."Darling you're forgetting the first rule of married life. Just tell him when it's a fate accompli and don't ask for any more opinions. Pretend your doing all the planning so that he can have a stress free holiday...thats the way I handle your dad!!":worship:

Kirsteen that cake is fabulous, you're so talented :goodvibes

Why won't he fly into Sandford? I've never flown there but it's about the same distance away from WDW isn't it :confused3 Just put your foot down and book what you want :rotfl:

It is going to be a par-tay with little kids that is. ;) We'll be rockin' out with ::MickeyMo and ::MinnieMo

:upsidedow You plans and options are making me dizzy. I wish I had a frame of reference for all of the different options. Tell Tom he's confusing your DIS geek buddies and to just stick to the original loose plan. Your mutha is a wise woman!

Thanks for the complement on the cake:hug: I've got some more pics of cakes I've done on my Bebo (KirsteenM0) if your bored and want a peek.

I don't know what got into Donny yesterday...sometimes he's just a crabbit old bugger and nothing pleases him (you know how it is hormonal male syndrome:rotfl: )

Jenny the options are going in May and flying into Sandford with FlyGlobespan(low cost airline with dodgey track record) or end of June with Virgin into Orlando International...neither is the perfect holiday as far as DivaBoy is concerned so I'll do some more humming and hawing and decide on my own 'cos Donny's input is total pants:rolleyes1

Just poppin' in to say Hi!!! Things are crazy busy around here, but I'll be back later to catch up! I've missed you guys!:goodvibes

Okay gotcha. It's like comparing Fronteir Airlines (dodgey) with Delta (less dodgey). Which is the most convienient? Who is the cheapest?

:wave2: Hi Jo!

 Hola bayee! Now is when I am going to try to bribe you to fly. :flower3:

I have emailed the Interline company (for the third time:mad: today) to find out if they'll accept my retired staff ID for their Disney rate as it is now showing as definately 50% off and that's something we just can't pass up. If we cant book with them the trip will be back to end of June and a package with Virgin direct out of Glasgow. Only down side would be we may not be able to afford BC/Poly on a package:sad2: so then it would be AKL or if even that's too much CSR. Hey it's all good, it's all Disney:cool1: .

I got my weekly email from Allears today and they have an update on their OKW info page. I had a wee peek and it look heavenly, are you guys still thinking of staying in a grand villa there May next year?

Jenna could your Doc not give you something to relax:hippie: you while you fly so that you can go to DL with everyone else? It seem like to good an opportunity to miss:cheer2:

I love the AKL, really. The Poly is my favorite but I would love to stay at the AKL too. Any of the 3 are great places! :woohoo: For sure you could never pass up the 50%, that would be insane! What's CSR? :confused3 Hell, I'd stay at the POP if it meant a trip to WDW! :thumbsup2

We'd love to still stay at the OKW GV. It's by far the least expensive and the biggest. I think we are trying for that first and then the AKV GV. If Jenna wasn't so busy with her RL maybe we could decide. :snooty: ;) :goodvibes

And did I mention?

401 days until WDW!!!!!

And...............166 days until Disneyland!!!!!

CSR is Coronado Springs Resort, we stayed there the May before Becci started primary school and it's fabby. I would be happy as a pig in poop if we ended up there again and as you say who cares as long as it's Disney.

Disney UK have opened up reservations for 2009 for accomodation but they won't be able to offer flight inclusive packages until May...I'm getting very excited :yay: at the prospect of actually booking something (tax credits willing:worried: ). I have a gut feeling I'm not going to be eligible for the 50% off rate, things like that don't happen to me.

AKL GV look GORGEOUS and extremely luxurious, I've never been to AKL but hear only good things about it. Only thing that kind of puts me off is I don't know how the transportation will be as it's a bit out of the way.

PS have you worked out when you'll be able to make your ADR's...or is that a stupid question:lmao:

May is right around the corner!!!!!!!!! :hyper: It'll be here before you know it!!!! :woohoo:  I will keep my fingers crossed for the 50% rate; you can attach the discount to a package?

The CSR looks nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd happily stay there too.

For our September trip I can make our ADRs on July 12! :rotfl2: And for our May 2009 trip we can make them November 11!!!! :cool1:

:cool1: More fun news: my friend, who went to WDW during the same time we did last year, wants to join us for the Disneyland trip!!!! She's totally awesome! Looks like we might be needing 2 rooms at the HoJo! :woohoo: She and I have been entering Disney contests like mad trying to win one of the bazillion trips the local radio stations are giving away. It would be just her and her son. Her DH is in school and can't break away, darn. pirate:

400 days until WDW!!!!!

165 days until Disneyland!!!!!

:dance3: Sounds like it's going to be some kind of Grand Gathering....can't wait for the TR:woohoo:

Your finger crossing worked for me big time...I got an email back from the interline company to confirm that I am eligible for the discounted rate so all I need now is for Disney to release the interline rates for 2009:banana:
