The boys got their signed permission forms back from the principal today. She put 5 days approved and had the policy highlighted. I hate that they have to be such jerks about the whole thing. Oh well, the boys will just have to have two illegal absences on their record.

I can't believe that they get that way about it. I have never heard of a school being so rigid about vacation!

Michael was asking about all of our ADRs earlier. I swear. Chloe made me a pile of all of the Disney stuff she wants to bring and it's huge. Her pile includes her: 50th Disneyland Ears, a remote control Pluto, her Pooh light up/spinny thing, Ariel, Pooh, and Buzz bubble kits that I bought for our last trip but somehow misplaced , her lanyard with pins, and her autograph book. So much for packing light. She is every bit as excited as I am if not more!

They showed zero interest in pin trading until they saw your kids with them on our trip together in Sept. After that, I had to buy them pins. I know what my mission for tomorrow is!

Jenna I can't believe your school are being total jobbies about the kids being out of school...what exactly do the illegal absences on their records mean, will it make much difference to anything?

BTW I will be able to make my ADR's on SUNDAY ...only one problem, the phones open at 7am your time which is 12 our time. This is slap bang in the middle of church and as I'm the Sunday School Superintendant I shouldn't even consider not going.......but I may be feeling under the weather that morning

See being a Christian does have it's benefits It pathetic when they raise objections when it's not a normal curriculum day that's being missed, Becci took the last day off before school broke for Easter and we had to phone in sick for her. When Donny phoned the school secretary just laughed and said she thought that there was an epidemic in the Bearsden area

Donny's trying to scare me into going on Sunday by saying that I may incur the wrath of God for telling lies and not goinf to church by not get any of the ADR's that I want in retribution...."Am I bovvered?!?!?!"

We'll check in periodically as I'll have my laptop with us. You guys can play "guess what Jenna & Jenny are doing right at this moment" or "which one of Jenna's kids is begging for something that he/she is NOT going to get?" Or my favorite...."is Jenna speaking to Nate at this part of the trip?"

It's not like they don't get straight A's or Chris isn't in the gifted reading program or anything. Oh, and one of the days Jon will be missing is a field trip day anyway.

I don't know about your school but since we finished our testing they really haven't been working all that hard. This late in year is much easier. We have less that a month left. Our kids get out May 21st.

Jon is on his second round of state testing. They are scheduled from yesterday until May 8th, which is why we chose the dates we did. I knew he would be done after the 8th and wouldn't have to go through the hassle of a make-up test.

Our last day is now June 10th. It was originally around the 5th but we have more snow days to make-up.
