If staying more than 8 nights can you request which day for full cleaning?

I just got some bad info from MS. I was told that full cleaning was done on the 8th day and that I was welcome to purchase an additional day (which I did). After reviewing the guidebook, full cleaning is clearly the 4th day (which makes a lot more sense). My question is, can I ask for day 5 instead since my sister in law will be taking over the room then? Same CM said no but I no longer trust her advice.

Yes you can, but don't expect them to get it right! We had a 2br for almost 2 weeks and switched people staying in the studio midway. We wanted our full cleaning on the day of the turnover and were told no problem by the front desk. Well, we got our full cleaning on the day originally scheduled (the day before). I stopped at the front desk, same CM remembered me and called housekeeping while I stood there. They said it wouldn't be a problem. By 6pm on the next day when the room had not been cleaned we went back down AGAIN and AGAIN got the same CM at the front desk who apologized profusely and had a housekeeping manager come down to talk to us. We eventually got it cleaned and didn't have to pay for a second cleaning but it did take some work. I don't think they run across this very often.

Our first stay was 8 nights as well so requested full cleaning on the fifth day. We made our request directly with housekeeping, as had been suggested to us here.

Mousekeeping showed up and cleaned it on the fourth day.



Mousekeeping showed up again and cleaned it again on the fifth day.


And we did get our trash & towel also on the 7th day as requested.


I just think that deviations from the normal really mess them up!

On the 4th day they only do the towels and take out the garbage. I believe it is the 7 th or 8th day they clean the whole place. I never stayed past the 5 night deal-the towel and trash day is the 4th day, not the full cleaning unless you want to pay for it.

For stays of less than 8 nights, there is a trash/towel service on day 4 (count check-in as day 1).

For stays of 8 nights or more, the full cleaning is on day 4 and the trash/towel on day 8. The cycle will repeat beginnning on day 12 for longer stays.

This is explained on page 87 of the Member's Guidebook, but the pattern has been the same since 1991.

More frequent housekeeping services are available for an extra fee.

If you wish to have services provided on a different day than scheduled, I'd suggest making a request thru the front desk and confirming it with housekeeping.

I moved my trash & towel day last week at BWV from day 4 to day 5 by calling housekeeping the morning we were scheduled for it (early, around 7:30am). We arrived Saturday and were scheduled for T&T on Tuesday (6 night stay). I had washed towels on Monday afternoon so I called Tuesday morning and asked for it to be switched to Wednesday, it worked out fine. I called housekeeping on Wednesday morning before we went out to make sure they had us down and they did.
