if staying at BCV can you use stormalong bay

someone just checked in and they said disney vacation club villa guest can't use stormalong bay, is this cause it's a holiday or will it be always or did they read it wrong

If the person was checking to see if they can pool hop to SAB, then that was correct information. However if you are staying at BCV, you can use SAB. Using SAB is one of the reasons that BCV goes for such a high price at resale.

If you are staying at BCV, that is your home pool, so only DVC members staying at BCV have the right to use Stormalong Bay. Members staying at other resorts can never hop to Stormalong Bay.

They misread it. Most likely it's one of the 'flyers' that all members get at check-in and is generic for all of DVC, along with other 'flyers' that are resort specific.

They probably saw it under the "Pool Hopping" title which would state members may not hop to SAB. Of course, by definition, pool hopping is going to a pool at a resort that is different from the resort you're staying at.

When staying at BCV, the SAB pool is part of their resort. They are not 'hopping' at all.
