If parks shut down-what happens to FPs?

If the parks shut down, then do your FPs just disappear? Or do they become multi-experience you can use on other days? Just worried that if Irma causes a shutdown on Monday, I will loose a hard-fought FoP fastpass!

Exact what AngiTN said. We were at WDW during Matthew last year and they just disappeared. *If* the parks close, you would not be able to use them anyway.

^ That's what I would have guessed. They're basically a free add-on anyway.

What's a more interesting question to me (and I think the answer is no), is if you have a MYW multi-day ticket (let's assume not tied to a package) and because of a closure you're "forced" to use one less day of it, would you get any kind of a refund? (On a "many" day ticket, it wouldn't matter much since incremental days are only about $20, but on a 2-3-4 day ticket its more significant.)

Last year during Matthew, we lost our FPs, and our friends lost a day of their MYW tickets. We have APs, so we didn't lose a day of tickets.

That's what I was thinking! Make sure to have screenshots of my FPs.
And in your case, that holds true too.

There was a recent thread where a guest and her DD received Anytime FPs for their trip as well as park tickets for a future trip based on ride closures during FP return windows.

No, I believe they did offer some sort of monetary refund regarding tickets but yes, there is minimal monetary value associated with each day on a 5+ ticket. Depends on how much trouble it's worth to get the refund. As AP holders we didn't have this issue.

As for getting a GS FP, I suppose we could have gotten some. We didn't ask. Honestly, Matthew day ended up being one of our favorite days at Disney. We met some great folks and had a blast. So we were fine loosing out on a park day, which is why it didn't occur to us to inquire about FP

My friends finagled an AP out of the MYW passes they couldn't use due to Matthew last year, I bet that was some fancy talking! (though Disney has gotten 3 more trips out of them, so more money for them in the end haha)
