If 'Ohana had different (or no) characters at breakfast...

...I think I'd be more inclined to eat there for breakfast.

Am I alone on this? Lilo and Stitch just don't do it for me. Granted, I've never seen the movie; but I am familiar with the characters and I just don't care for them.

It's funny you say that, because for years Lilo and Stich are the reasons we ate breakfast there. My sons always felt like it was a breakfast "for them" as opposed to the breakfasts more geared toward their sister...Norway Princess, Crystal Palace, Cinderellas Castle. Lilo and Stich were, and still are, favorites of theirs.

We enjoy the food and themeing there and still continue to eat breakfast there. My daughter loves Lilo and Stich as much as her brothers. Plus, they fit perfectly with the theme at the POLY.

I totally agree that they fit perfectly with the Poly theme.

Hmmm...I may look at our schedule and see if I can fit it in for breakfast. Not thrilled about it, but I feel like I'm missing something.

We love O'hana. So excited about our next trip to eat dinner there. The atmosphere alone is awesome. I think its worth trying once if you are interested. Good Luck!

I'm with you on this one. I hate to say it, because I tend to love all things Disney, but I just don't get them. I have seen the movies and shows, and I just think Stitch is a creepy, weird little guy. We haven't done this breakfast for that reason.

I think if O'hana doesn't have characters or even different characters, we would still eat there. The food there is very good and the atmosphere is great. We have only eaten breakfast there once before and to tell you the truth, the only character that came to our table that we did not care for was Stitch....Mickey, Pluto and especially Lilo was awesome. My DD7 loves Lilo and had a Lilo pin on her lanyard, Lilo noticed this and really gave some serious attention to my DD because of it. We are heading back there in May and my DD can't wait to see Lilo again :goodvibes

The characters are the reason I go to Ohana (Stitch is especially cute). For me, the characters are what sets this restaurant apart from other (non-character) restaurants. If I want to eat breakfast without characters, there are plenty of other options at WDW (not to mention here at home).

My kids didn't really know who Lilo and Stitch was the first time we went and they had a ball. They have never watched anything with them. Mickey and pluto are there too. The food is great at breakfast and we would go even if there were no characters. We always go our first morning at Disney. But I won't go ever again for dinner, it was horrible the night we went.

Lilo and Stitch are not the only characters there. It's also popular because it's one of the few meals where Mickey regularly appears (there are only 4 restaurants where you can meet the big cheese himself).

'Ohana breakfast is the only character meal my group does any more. I would not book it if there were no characters--I could make a better breakfast myself! But the interaction is great at 'Ohana. The characters don't seem as rushed as at some of the other character meals we have tried in the past. Most of my favorite character photos of my niece and nephew are from 'Ohana.

The character meals wore off for me quite a few years ago. They are nice for children, but even most of my grandchildren are now adults. I'd rather focus on a decent meal.

I do have to say that the one time we went to O'Hana, we had the best character interaction of any character meal we've ever done. Stitch really took the time and interacted with the kids and played around with them (along DW and myself). At that point DD didn't know who they were but she had a great time at that breakfast.

That being said, if I was staying over at a monorail resort and they didn't have characters I would probably still go there for the food. I wouldn't make a trip from off-site or from another resort area though. But that's just me.

I didn't get him either and it was one of the best meals we had and the caracter interactions was over the top. We saw them at the end of October and my girls still talk about Stitch daily and we still laugh at his silliness. Long story short, he decided to do a new hairdo to my grumpy daughter and then proceded to sign their books and then sign her head( he put the cap back on the pen first without her seeing it) It was the highlight at the day. She was sooo delighted and had a big smile all day long.

We go there for the characters and the family style service. I wish more character meals were family style.

I agree with you, this is the only character meal our son and my husband doesn't watnt to eat at. My son doesn't Stitch in anyway...he refuses to take a picture with him when he sees him at the park.

Meeting Mickey in his Hawaiian garb and interacting with Pluto and Stitch at 'Ohana was one of the best character meals we ever had.

I know someone said it above - but it's not JUST Lilo & Stitch - Mickey & Pluto too. We loved it and we're not Lilo & Stitch fans at all - in fact, I REALLY dislike Stitch.

When we went on our "mostly adult" trip (five adults and DD15) we ate at Ohana for breakfast specifically because *I* wanted to. Stitch is my favorite Disney character -ever- and we had SO MUCH FUN.

The food was just "eh". I wouldn't eat there if not for Stitch.

I think the characters are fun, if they only had them for Dinner it would be great. I do think they should add minnie though and have the 5 of them, it seems they need one more possibly goofy would be fun.

I am probobly alone in my opnion though, when I mentioned it last year when we ate at Ohana's for Dinner, people around looked at me like I was mad.

Alas we are going this month and I wish for characters at dinner, but don't expect them since they do not appear at Dinner.

If I have to eat at a character breakfast, I'll take 'Ohana's. It's never been as frantic as 1900 Park Fair or Chef Mickey's. The food is a notch better too.
