And finally.. I would never have taken photos of my food.. let alone EVERYTHING we ate and drank.. let alone get terribly upset if I forgot to take the photo before I started eating!

Lol - that one is funny - people really look at you like you are crazy when you take pics of "odd" (to some) things..... food, bathroom signs (for a fellow dis'ers by the way).

Also, I would have never "met" so many wonderful people. It's fun being local and being able to help out with small things that people need, I've sent Mickey Head cookie cutters to Canada, antennae toppers to PA (right near my home town), EPCOT brochures to Ohio! It's fun to help folks out!

I would never known about the DDA board, and been able to utilize some of the amazing desgins they so willingly share to make shirt for my DD for various special activities (one for almost every character meal we have done....)

and - the number one thing..... I WOULDN"T BE SO FAR BEHIND ON MY HOUSEWORK!!!!

I've learned so many things, but I'll just name some:
1. I can remember the very first thing I learned here-to look up in the "stretching room" at the HM. I'd never seen the hanging man.
2. The Illuminations cruise. It's been such fun to have gotten to share it twice with some great Disers.
3. I never would have gotten to eat breakfast at CRT. Thanks, Sam, I had a great time!
4. I never would have had a Kitchen Sink at B&C.
5. I never would have known about the Pocohantus animal training show.
6. I never would have known in advance that CRT lunch was switching to a character meal, and so I wouldn't have made ressies for one last quiet lunch last year.
7. Never would have tried school bread and strawberry swirls.

About the campfire at Fort Wilderness - it was a lot of fun

How important it was to make the ADR for CRT as soon as it became available, which was 4 a.m. here!

If not for the DIS boards I never would have -

1. Known about the special anniversary cake I could order at GF Bakery for my parent's 60th anniversary last December

2. Known I could arrange to have my dad be Veteran of the Day and participate in the Flag Retreat ceremony at MK

3. Learned about all the behind the scenes tours available and we would not have experienced getting to ride Segways around Epcot, taken the KTTK tour, or the Yuletide Fantasy tour and be looking forward to taking other future tours

4. Asked for discounted resort rooms when booking (or hoped to be one of those lucky PIN recipients)

5. Realized the Flower and Garden Festival was so amazing and had so many displays to see

6. Been able to plan such a special trip last year using tons of info I read on these boards

THANKS to everyone who is so gracious and willing to share tips, advice, and suggestions which help our trips even better than we dreamed they could be!

How in the world did you get a $13 Pal Mickey? I've looked and looked on the threads and can't find that info anywhere. I'd love to have one for my DD and DS (2 and 6), but really cannot swallow the $60+ price tag...even on ebay! I've even called the outlets in Orlando....no dice.

WOW what a great thread......I thought I drained this board of knowledge my last trip.....but I've already got a full page of things to try again for this year!!!!! This has got to be the best most knowledgable board ever created

My kids did love finding the paint brushe at Tom Sawyer Island, and getting to get on Splash Mountain over and over again as a reward!!!

We would never have joined the DVC. I always thought timeshare booths were something you walked past really fast.
