If not Chef Mickey's for dinner - where?

DH and I, despite the negative reviews, really like Chef Mickey's for their dinner buffet (we both really like the roasted pork, salmon depending on the sauce, and the beef). But we're thinking of going somewhere different when we go in January. We're already doing Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, but would also like a buffet for dinner. Honestly, as two adults traveling, yes we love going to 2-3 character meals each trip (8 day trip).

We like all different foods, but aren't adventurous eaters. OK, well DH isn't, I am. Where would you recommend? Thanks!

Other character dinners that I have loved are Cinderella's Royal Table. They just recently added the Princesses at night. The food is very nice. If you can get an adr just before the fireworks.. watching them from the castle looking into fantasyland was one of the nicest disney moments I have ever had.

Ohana. It's not a character meal, and not really a buffet, but all you can eat, family style. We eat there every year.

Change the CP meal to either lunch or dinner. I was shocked at how good the food is there and you will find delicious salmon on that buffet too. I think dinner starts as early at 3:30 and lunch perhaps at 11am.

If you need another breakfast, I'd highly suggest Boma. No characters, but amazing food.

Garden Grill - This is not a typical buffet --- they bring the assortment of dishes to your table - flank steak, fish, selection of veggies, etc -
the characters come to your table (mickey, chip and dale, etc)-
great interaction and the food was very good...check out their menu
we were pleasantly surprised
