If not 3 then how many?

I'm fine with 3. HOWEVER, I resent someone telling me which three I can have. And the fact that so many people are reserving their FPs ahead of time (and way ahead of time for some) means that I'd need FP for attractions I never needed them for prior to the advent of FP+.
:p

I agree with those that said 5 at MK. I could manage 3 at the other parks, but when I think of being limited to only 3 FP at MK, with only 1 being a Tier 1, I get soooo :furious:

As many as I feel like I need, based on the park I'm in, the crowd that day and what I feel like doing. Maybe some sort of limit like one every two hours. oh, wait....

This exactly!

I'd be perfectly content with the system as it is now, tiers and all...

IF you could then go to a kiosk and get additional passes within a time limit. As someone who made the plan to pull at least 6 on a busy day, anything other than this is a major downgrade....

I'd be happy with 5, although, if I could FP the same ride more than once, I'd be ok with the limit of 3. I want 3 FP for the same ride.

And I've said this several times before, under this system I would be HAPPIEST if they would use FP+ like dining credits. You could keep the round number of 3 per day, but it wouldn't feel as restrictive. If I am staying for 5 nights on site, give me 15 FP+ "credits" to use in whatever manner I choose, over those 5 days, with no restrictions. If I want to use 15 on day one and screw myself for the rest of my trip, so be it. If I want to wait and use all 15 on my last day, so be it. Just give me back my choice in the matter.

I have no idea how this would work with AP holders, I haven't thought that far ahead, LOL.

I think MK needs 5. I could work with 5 there.

For the rest I can work with 4 but, teiring has to go. 4 FP's at Epcot with the tiering in force would make the extra one pretty pointless.

I would typically get between 5 and 6 fast passes a day so something equal to that number would be fine. 5 a day, no tiers, and to use on same ride (if I so choose).

The issue with this is that there are already long FP lines on the marquee attractions. The majority of folks will want to reserve the same rides multiple times and the system won't be able to handle the capacity.

The issue is that Disney, through advertising, has increased the usage of the fast pass system and underestimated the impact of the increase.

I do agree that they shouldn't start the fast pass windows until one hour after park opening. That allows the RD folks a chance to experience a ride without the lines making it possible to get a second first tier ride into an itinerary without waiting.

Would also like the ability to hop with the fast passes but I think this defeats one of Disney's objectives...which is forecasting park attendance in order to staff most cost effectively. If they limit you to one park, for fast passes your behavior is more predictable. And because you are booking these attractions 2 months ahead, they have a much better ability to predict park attendance and staff accordingly.

I was fine with the 3 fp but we had more than 1 day in each park. I wish though that if you had a fp for a ride you could ride it more than once within that time frame. At least twice.

A couple more would be great, but more than anything, I wish you could do same ride multiple times. Splash Mountain is my happy place, and I'd so use all of my fast pass ressies on it!

5 at Magic Kingdom
4 at Epcot
3 at Disney's Hollywood Studios
3 at Animal Kingdom

As others have said, there is a capacity problem at the parks due to overcrowding for much of the year. The non-Magic Kingdom parks really need another headliner each, and the Animal Kingdom and Studios probably also need a few C or D ticket level attractions to add to overall daily ride capacity.

THIS! With no tiers would be nice. Plus park hop usage ability.

If they really cared about limiting people to one park/ day, they wouldn't sell park hoppers at all...

Four or five, no tiering, across all parks to allow for park hopping.

I'd also like the system to not force someone to book all the FP available to them. If someone only wants one or two FP, let them do that to free up openings for those that *do* want them. (Unless they've already changed that, but when we booked our FP for our upcoming trip the system forced us to book three FP for our arrival day when we only wanted/needed two.)

I'd probably be okay with 3 if you can use them any way you choose.

5 at MK, 3 for other parks, no tiering anywhere AND you can use multiple FP+ on the same ride.

I'd also like to see the first FP+ window open 1 hour after park opening, not right at park opening, therefore still preserving the RD advantage for those willing to get up early.

:thumbsup2 totally agree with this.

I'm going to vote none. The way I see it, I (and most people on these forums) know more about migration patterns within the parks and various touring plans than the average guest. I know when to be at certain attractions to minimize my wait and what attractions will have minimal waits during peak times of each day. By giving out more Fast Passes Disney is leveling the playing field between me and the average guest. So if my choices are everyone getting a set number to start their trip or having none at all, I would opt for none at all.

The way I see it, there is a total amount of "Ride" time and a total amount of "Wait" time to be shared by all the guests each day. I work hard studying touring plans to maximize my "Ride" time and minimize my "Wait" time while the new Fast Pass Plus works to equalize the amount of "Ride" and "Wait" time for everyone.

6 a day, the ability to use it in multiple parks, the ability to use it for an attraction more than once if you would like, and NO TIERS.

That's reasonable and easy for them to put in place.

Personally, I would like 1 in advance...maybe 2. And then the ability to book whatever is left the day of in the park you are in based on old rules. So a new one every 2 hours or so. I see this as perfect combo...folks that get there later still get a ride on TSM or Soarin' but folks old "super users" still get more than 3....that's an assumption of course. I know math is tricky and I haven't worked that out yet. And of course allow to use in more than one park and no tiers.

I'd love something along these lines. I wish they had just changed the old FP machines into "magic band ready" machines. When you get to the park, go up to the machine, tap your magic band, load up a FP. Use that one in the window, get another one. Go to another park, get another one. Want to go back on the same ride, get another one. Basically the system just the way it was only incorporating the magic bands and doing away with paper tickets. The ability to book, say, one late-day FP ahead of time would be nice, but leave the others to day-of access only.

Honestly, I don't think it's about the number of passes---more about how the system is set up now.

As long as offsiters can pre-book, that would work perfect for me. It would come closest to meeting everyone's needs, including Disney's desire to lock-in guests and to encourage big spenders to book more days, while not frustrating people who spend longer hours at the parks and are more motivated to use FP. You wouldn't have to make RD to get TSMM or Soarin, but you'd still have hope that you could book two top tier rides. Seems like Disney is collecting enough data now to work out the math. The rules for getting more could be flexible based on projected crowd levels.
