If my flight arrives at 7pm, when should I expect to arrive at the resort?

First time going to Disney World so I have no previous experience to base this on.

Our flight is scheduled to arrive at 7pm on a Monday night. We will be using Magical Express and are staying at the Yacht Club. About what time would be a good guess as to when we would arrive at the resort?

Thanks!

Agree - 8:30 ish. I timed my last few trips and here are my times from 10/7/15 -

Landed 4:05
Claimed my bags at 4:30 (you can save this step by using the luggage delivery but due to a last minute change I didn't use the yellow tags)
Checked in at DME 4:35
Boarded bus to ASMu immediately
Left the airport 4:50
AsMu was the 3rd if 4 stops (CSR, ASSp, Asmu, Asmo)
Arrived at 5:35

So 90 minutes almost to the minute, may have been 15 or so minutes shorter if I hadn't decided to get my own bags.

Agree that 90 minutes is a good rough estimate. However if you checked luggage using the ME yellow tags, don't expect to see them until 11:30 or even later. If you need your bedtime stuff earlier than that, pack them in your carry ons. Or don't use the yellow tags and pick up your luggage yourself.

Good tip! I hadn't thought about a significant delay there. I better pack the baby's pajamas in my carryon.

Yes. It is always wise to pack what you will need for the first 24 hours in your carry on, just in case the airline misdirects your luggage.

Can you tell I don't fly much? :)

We stopped flying when we discovered that the flight to DL when you add in parking, transfers, security, etc. is 6 hours and at the end everyone is a wreck. The drive to DL is 6 hours and at the end I'm a wreck (because I do all the driving) but the hubs and the teen can handle stuff. Much better this way. Florida is a little less driveable from here. :)

Anyway, I appreciate the tips from people who travel more.
