If money was not an object, which digital camera would you buy? I wasn onw that is 355 quality and user friendly or should I say idiot proof.

Does anyone have any experience or input? I am dizzy reading all the specifics.

If money were no object, I'd buy a Nikon D2X. But it's not a user friendly camera for a novice....

I have a Minolta DiMage that very simple to use for point and shoot, and has a lot of neat features you can slowly learn at your pace as you get more and more used to the camera. That would be my choice.

I have a Canon A95 - it's got a lot of features, but I usually just leave it on automatic.

If you meant the Nikon D50, I just bought this camera a couple of weeks ago and it's pretty good. For a novice DSLR user, I found this camera to be very easy to use. I've posted this in the photography boards so for those that frequent those boards, bear with me. Anyways, as soon as I opened the box, I took my first picture with it. Here it is...

While I'm sure there are much more expensive cameras, the Canon S2 IS (around $499) is a really good camera. The photos are remarkable. My DH picked it out and is the one who uses it the most, but he absolutely loves it.

Money wasn't an object so I bought the Canon S2 yesterday. I can't use it because Santa has to wrap it and give it to me on Christmas morning. But I know it is coming my way!
