If money is no problem - which resort and which view?

If money really isn't a concern then I would recommend a suite in one of the hotels on the monorail. We did a big blowout trip in January and I would recommend the King Kamehameha suite at the Poly (this was our family's favorite) and the fireworks view from the second floor bedrooms is incredible. Strangely we thought it was better than the view from either the CR or the GF - maybe because it's a straight on view as opposed to slightly off center? We would also recommend a two bedroom Outer-lodge Suite (request lagoon view with a view of the castle). Our suite was newly refurbished from top to bottom and was lovely. It also had a wonderful view of the castle, and balconies off of each room although I don't think all of the suites are the same. we were on the second floor and my four year old thought we were floating on the water! We are a family of 6 so it's the only suite we fit into at the GF but if your friend has a family of four they can choose to stay in the Grand Suite (view of the castle) or one of the Disney Suites(view of the lagoon towards the poly - no castle) in the main building. At the CR we thought the view from the Presidential Suite was beautiful but the suite was not completely redone the way the MK view rooms are at the CR and for this reason I wouldn't recommend it over two connecting MK view tower rooms at the CR. With little ones I would highly recommend a monorail resort but the Admiral Suite at the Yacht Club is nice and the Royal Assante suite at AKL is also beautiful. Have fun!pixiedust:

I would love either AKL or Poly. I just don't want a view of the parking lot. LOL

Another vote for Poly MK view. I have never stayed there but if money were no object (not in this lifetime!) that would be my dream.

In 2006 we stayed at the Poly LVC and it was great. With young kids it was so easy to on and off the monorail. The view from the balcony for the water parade and fireworks was simply amazing! We had room 3502 and it is directly across from the castle in Hawaii.

Do your friends want convienence to parks? We love the Epcot hotels because you can walk or boat to 2 of the 4 parks. You can also see the fireworks at Epcot from this area too. Plus there is night life in this resort area and you don't have to have a car or take a bus - the Boardwalk has entertainers, games etc...

Do the kids like to swim or will they be spending all their time in the parks? If they will be spending some days at the pool, then Beach Club would be the best!

For me Poly CL Lagoon view. If money were no object I'd spend 2 weeks per year here with no problem!:lovestruc

OK--first of all I'm trying to imagine having an unlimited budget for a WDW :goodvibes Very jealous about that! Anyway I'd pick CR with MK view.

Lagoon View Concierge at the Poly. The Poly is very magical at night! I think they would really enjoy the convenience of concierge with 2 small children. The concierge service at the Contemporary was very good too BUT you can't book MK view at the concierge level at Contemporary.

The rooms at the Contemporary were really nice but the rooms at the Poly work much better for my family. I like to unpack on vacation with my family and there is virtually no drawer space in the Contemporary rooms.

I also liked be able to walk to the MK from Contemporary but it is easy to the MK from the Poly by boat or monorail and you can walk to the Epcot monorail from the Poly so that ride is A LOT shorter than having to change to the resort monorail when staying at GF or Contemporary.
