If MK opens at 9:00....

what time will you be allowed to go through the gates? I plan to arrive 45 minutes to 1 hour early. Do I just sit and wait until 9:00? I guess I need info on the procedure. Is it the same for MGM and AK?

Generally unless it is an early entry day the do not allow you into the parks until the offical opening time, maybe 5 minutes earlier. In the MK they may let you in about 15 minutes early, then you get so far up main street and there are ropes closing off the different areas until the offical park opening.
Also, if you have a breakfast PS then they will let you in before the opening time.
