if it's raining.....

We love the Mickey Ponchoes, too! I have my kids pop a baseball cap over their hood to help me "find" them in the crowd! We have some Coleman ponchos, but they don't re-fold well and take up a lot of room in the backpack.

Does anyone know if AK still sells the tan and brown safari ponchos? I'd love to grab some of those!

Only bummer we had on our last trip was that there was a downpour right begore Fantasmic and they cancelled the show! It was our last night so we couldn't see it. Needless to say, we are going to Fantasmic on Jan 15 - our first full day of our trip!

My family did a walk for cancer back in June (here in MA). It was a rainy day so we wore our yellow Mickey ponchos. You would not believe how many other people wore them. I felt like I was on Main Street!

As a few other posters have said, the crowds disappear! I was there a few years ago with one of my friends, and as soon as we got there it downpoured. We literally walked onto all of the rides the rest of the afternoon!

It was one of the best days I'd ever had at WDW.

We got a little soaked, but who cares, we're at Disney.

The rain never lasts too long . Some days it will downpour on/off but there are always times when it doesn't. Get a poncho, and some extra shoes and socks and enjoy the fact that there are no lines.

Not to mention the rain adds to Splash mountain & the other water rides and adds mood to the haunted mansion & the tower of terror!

we got off the Jungle Cruise once jsut as the skies opened up. I have a picture from the exit of JC and there is not a soul in sight. It waws raining so hard that you could not walk in some spots because the water was flowing like a river in some spots.

I know I read recently they changed the poncho color. I like not fitting in with the heard. Can anyone tell me the new color?

The new ponchos are clear. The intent is to make it easier to tell your family from everyone else by being able to see what they're wearing under the poncho. The very last few yellow ponchos should be completely gone soon.
