Over the last few months the major concerns on the boards have been (in no particular order)

- Slow release of park hours

- Change in ADRs from 180 to 90 days

- Crowd level predictions over spring break and during May (with many changes)

- Rainy weather

WHAT'S NEXT?????

I predict:

- Slow release of park hours

- Change in ADRs from 180 to 90 days

- Crowd level predictions over the summer

- Rainy weather / hurricanes

- shortened booking windows for Candlelight Processional (down from previous ~180 days to 90, I'd predict)

The more things change ...

I feel bad for everybody who was in all that rain. Has it really been raining since we left? We left on the 12th and as soon as we got on the bus to go to the airport was when it first rained. We didn't have a drop when we were there.

Oh and don't worry about the crowds, they are fine.

Still with all of the changes, we are still going to WDW because we love it. If they keep offering the good deals that they are now, people will continue to line up to go. We will.

At first I was like "They are just whining again", now that I got what they are getting to I can't imagine going to Disney in the rain. I really feel bad for the people who got this. I mean, it's great for Florida, but bad for the people who paid big money to come here.

I agree Disney is the most planed antisapated (sp) vacation that most of us will ever take. So it starts with the planning, the picking of t/s, then not being able to get your adr on the day and time you want, then going back and replaning the whole thing over again. Then show up and rain or kid sick or the worlds largest blister. We type a's or ocd people just have a stroke and sit in a chair the rest of the trip druling all over our self :rotfl:.

Dont forget all the threads about the threads people are starting....gee wiz...How does this thread help me with trip planning?

You know....only a few years ago, you couldn't book more than 90 days out and before that, back in '99 it was 60 days out. Park hours were released until about two months before.
Crowd levels??? It has always been crowded over Spring Break, especially when it comes close to the Easter break.
Rainy weather???? It's Florida, it's late spring. They need the rain..badly. May have been better to get it spaced out over a month rather than what they are getting, but it is what it is.

Things really haven't changed all that much. The things I do notice are the 'dumbing' down of meals. They are taking a lot of the 'different' type things off menus so that all the menus, throughout WDW, look pretty much the same.

I agree. We did DDP last week just to try again and the food was just OK - Flying Fish was actually quite good though. I was quite impressed with Kringla though - I've eaten there before, but I don't remember the sandwiches being that good. We'll probably never do DDP again - too many good places to eat withing 10 minutes of the parks.

As for nothing changing you're right. People complain/obsess about the same things under different names - swine flu vs SARs - bed bugs vs dirty glasses - Fay vs stalled rain front - it's all very predictable.

I used to like to come into the park and make reservations for that day - that'll never happen again! Oh well - I guess I'll still go - I do love Disney and that's really the bottom line.

:cool1:You can't sweat the little things. I can make my ADR's on Monday and I hope I get what I want. But if I don't hey I am still going on vacation and will find somewhere to eat. I just want one CM Breakfast for my boys because that is special to them:love:. In a way it's easier without the ADR's, because you then don't have to stick to a schedule. If it rains we will make the most of it:banana:. We have done Disney in the past and it was stormy many days in May. We just walked in between the drops...lol. We even got stuck on the Monorail during a thunder storm and my boys thought it was cool. Everyone enjoy and think positive. :thumbsup2

More Concerns:
. . . mickey and minnie get married, and honeymoon at universal studios
. . . eisner comes back and runs MK
. . . goofy and pluto find out they are related
. . . eeyore sees a shrink and becomes outgoing and gregarious
. . . the 3:00 parade begins to start at 4:00

I've noticed all the paranoia and hysteria on the DIS about crowd levels, ADRs, swine flue, weather, the list goes on and on, as well. I think it's only natural though on this kind of forum. Most people here are huge planners, love all things Disney, and especially love planning Disney trips. In addition, most of these people are dropping thousands of dollars on a vacation. It's no wonder hysteria arises time to time about issues that may affect what is supposed to be a "perfect trip."

i predict that everyone will have wonderful time on their next trip to disney as long as that stop worrying:love:
