The animation studios closed not too long ago because of the money-grubbing Eisner... Iger doesn't seem to care too much about traditional animation either. Oh well. It's supposed to LOOK and FEEL like a studio.
They used to have a show about costumes and monster make-up. It was really cool! Also, when ABC Soundstage was first open, they used to incorporate the kids into TV Shows such as Gilligan's Island. The backlot tour showed you what it was like to be backstage at a studio. (of course, now that most of it was torn down, it's pointless).
