If it rains, what would you do?

I'm seeing rain in the forecast for our first few days in California. :sad1:

Legoland and Sea World are so exposed to the elements - unlike Disneyland where you can escape to rides that are inside. What is it like to visit those parks when it rains? Is it doable and we would still enjoy it? Do they close any of the shows or rides when it rains?

Thanks!

I'm guessing it's still a few weeks until your trip? I wouldn't worry too much yet about that forecast. It could very well change by the time you go on your trip. Also, when i looked at the extended forecast for San Diego, I didn't see any rain forecasted for down there, just when i looked at anaheim. And it sounds like they're just predicting showers here and there, not a big storm. Again, that could change at the last minute, you never know. It's really hard to predict the SoCal weather this far out and for this time of year. Don't give up hope!

I've never been to either of those parks in the rain so I can't help you with info about that. But just keep checking the forecast as your trip gets closer. Hope you have a great trip!

I don't know about Legoland, but Sea World can be affected by the rain if it is heavy enough. In fact, there was one day last year that had a REALLY bad storm and Sea World actually closed for the day (it was a day that Disneyland closed early if I'm not mistaken), but that's the only day in recent history that they didn't open at all and it was a HUGE storm. For the most part if there is heavy rain they will run a modified show that doesn't have all of the special effects. I'm not sure what they do about the rides but again, I'd imagine if the weather was bad enough, they might close them. These are all things that can happen, but it doesn't happen too often, so I really wouldn't worry about it for your trip.
