If I'm in Florida, it's gonna be hot! This time last year.....

The next morning we were up bright and early....6:30AM-ish, and surprisingly very perky.
"Perky" and "early morning" are two things that do NOT go well together in my world. :sad2:

No mile walk to the bus, bus to monorail, walk another mile, forget where we are going, and then wait for an hour. Nope, this is the life!
This is exactly why we eat a lot within our resort; I just don't want to deal with travel for a meal.

BTW, Fab 4, all the Poly pineapples were sent over to Beach Club. ;)

No WAY?! The BC stole our pineapples!!!!

I work away and make sure the troops are carrying out my orders in a timely fashion. About 10:55, everyone is showered, the car is loaded, I just approved the payroll, and it is time to head to SSR.
Holy multi-tasking Batman! :cool1:

Ok, so the lack of showering wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so dag gum hot! But still, with 5 minutes left before check out, I just didn't have time. So we make our way over to SSR for our 3rd hotel in 3 nights. Yup, we like living on the edge. ;) We arrived at SSR lickedy split and I headed for the check in while the Loud Family waited in the van. The check in lobby was empty. I was expecting some sort of mob scene. Anyhow, things went smooth and our room was ready. :) I had not made any room requests but asked for Congress Park at check in because, for some reason, somebody thinks this area is walking distance from DTD. Before we continue, just a few thoughts about SSR:

Now, I am not a spread out resort type person. I prefer a high rise hotel where everything I need is within one building. That being said, I really did like SSR despite feeling like I was at an apartment complex. We had a 1st floor room. We were able to park so close and there was a bus stop just steps away.

Back to the story.....I would say that it was probably 11:45 by this point. I think we set some sort of Disney speed record. Our plans were open today; just two things on the agenda: 12:50 ADR at Raglan Road and get to the MK before 3:00 because I wanted to be in before it was full. To be sure it wouldn't be full before 3:00, right? Since we were "so close" to DTD, I had enough time for a quickie shower. I doubt I put on makeup because it was so dang hot it wouldn't have stayed on anyhow. So, by 12:15 we were heading to DTD....which is not within walking distance BTW. ;) We arrived at a practically empty DTD; weird. Where is everyone? Now in my super duper quick planning of this trip, I didn't consult/share my intentions with my dear DIS friends. BUT, had I done so, I would have discovered that V was also dining at RR this day. I just missed her by 2 hours. :sad2: Anyhow, we had another great meal at RR. Afterwards we headed for a little shopping that I'm sure had to happen because of some bribe with the Loud Children. They get us everytime!

We swung back by the room to ready ourselves for the evening, which didn't involved much. By 2:45 we were on the way to MK. The day was going absolutely perfect.........................

for some reason, somebody thinks this area is walking distance from DTD.
:lmao: This never ceases to crack me up! Sorry guys - LY/MI!

Yes, and let THAT serve as a lesson. :snooty: Heh heh. And if I'd known you were there, we'd have goten our behinds to DTD earlier to wish you a Happy New Year!

That many dots are never good when following after the word "perfect".............:sad2:

How far a walk is it ?:confused3 Did Jo say it was walking distance .. us Brits think everything is walking distance ya know!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ooh, I missed some.

So, really, is DTD walkable from SSR? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I :lovestruc Raglan Road.

I'm worried about the dots after "perfect". :scared1:

We know you are lurking around somewhere S'late..

I showered today and everything. :goodvibes :flower3:

Oooooh - I missed the beginning but looks like I'm in before the end!!!! That is, if there is an end;)
I am loving your story telling!
Hey, I thought it was really warm early in Dec as well! I had been checking Weather.com and such and based on those forecasts packed no shorts which I certainly regretted when there!
Thanks for some insight into Tutto Italia - we have ADRs for dinner there in Dec and don't really know what to expect However, I was also hoping for some hot Italian waiters. Hopefully, the meal will make up for their absence!
