...and booked flights in the sale for August, and hung on til say June or July, would a better deal pop up for mid-August?

Looking at past flash sales there seem to be ones in Feb; July; Dec. Has anyone any experience of August being in a flash sale?

I am just pondering; not sure about what we want to do - we have a savings plan and it has a number of different options, this being one of them!

Thanks

It might ..... or it might not. You could always book with one of the offsite hotels ie Explorers, Kyriad on a fully cancelleable rate. Then if Disney do a deal you can cancel without penalty, if they don't you can stay at the offsite and buy annual passes ..... which you will then have for the next year!

I know you were on a tight budget for a trip in August. Did you find any offsite hotels that would currently be within your budget? Have you worked out how much of a discount disney would need to bring out to make the price within your budget because that could tell you if it is realistic or not.

If you can find something offsite that is affordable and you would be happy with that if Disney didn't bring out an offer then I would book the flights and then wait (or book a cancellable rate as Elaine suggested)

If the only way you could afford to stay is if Disney bring out a 50% offer then I think that is very risky because they always seem to have quite strict conditions on dates and the number of nights you have to stay for.

Sorry not to be more help, what we all really need is a crystal ball....

Thanks! Now that I have just read that Dreams is only on until 31st Sept - I will be gutted if we don't see it!!! I assumed it would be on all 20th year!

I'm not sure where you got that information but Dreams is on EVERYDAY during the 20th anniversary.
