If I make a reservation for Crystal Palace before the park opens do we have to go to the end of the line to get back into the park? How does that work?

Not at all.

Once you're in the MK, you're in for the day.

If you finish your meal early, you're welcome to stroll and take photos of Main Street, etc. (shops are still closed), and/or stand near at the entrance to Fantasyland (or other lands) and wait for the "Rope drop" and then, off to the fun!

I haven't done CP before park opening, but I have done others prior to opening. I would assume that your PS is around 8am or so. You will check in with special people at the gate who will check off your name & PS. Then you will use your park ticket to go through the turnstyles. Aftere you are done, you are free to roam the park since you will have already used your tickets to get in... if the park isn't officially open you can wait for the rope drops to let you into the lands :)

getting a resie before the park opens is the way to go they let you in 5 to 10 min ahead of your resie just enuff time to snap some pics of a empty main st and clear veiw of the castle and no you don't have to re enter the park :thumbsup2

1) You do gain access to Main Street to go to Crystal Palace.
2) If you get out early, you CANNOT stroll around the park.

TheRustyScupper is right, after you eat you cannot stroll around the park. You will be pretty much confined to Mainstreet and the hub area in front of the castle... take this time to take some pics and just enjoy the view... all the other lands will be roped off until the official rope drop at park opening... and no you won't have to go back and re-enter the park... once you are in you can stay in. Have fun!!

If you do not get one of the earliest reservations, you will not be able to have an enjoyable breakfast, meet the characters AND beat everyone to the rope drop. However, I think it's worth it. It's a total experience, the setting is magical, the food is surprisingly excellent, and it's far better than waiting in front of the Magic Kingdom gates and then rushing to your preferred attraction. if you can afford it, then absolutely you should do it.

Conversely, the food and the setting in the Animal Kingdom for that breakfast is dreary, plus it's still not very close to any of the top attractions when you are finished.

What "top attractions" are near the Crystal Palace?

Every time we go to WDW we go to CP and make reservations before the park opens and we have never had to go back out so you should be fine.

We try to get ADRs for an hour before park opening on several mornings. This visit we will do Crystal Palace, Donald's and Cindy's before park opening. We also have an early ADR at Chef Micky's, but that will actually hrut us more than likely because we'll have to walk from the Contemporary to the main gate for opening. I love walking down an empty Main Street and soaking up the feeling of Disney...that's why my first morning at Disney is always researved for an 8:00 ADR at CP. We usually finish breakfast at about 8:50 and head over to the Castle rope drop. (can be the perfect way to wake up Tink) You can also be one of the first in the Dumbo line.

No, you do not. Once you are in the park, you are in. They check your tickets at the door.

MK is compact and Crystal Palace is right in the middle. Almost all families with young 'uns should head to Fantasyland first. After all, these are the same kids that would benefit from a Whinnie the Pooh breakfast anyway.

As where with AK, the breakfast kind of destroys the strategy of going to the Kilimanjaro Safari when all the animals are at the most active.

That is what I am excited about. Getting some pictures of an empty park!! :cool1:

I would only do this again if I could get reservations right at 8:00 or 8:05.
When we went, we had 8:15 ressies and by the time we got seated, it was probably 8:25. 35 minutes is just not enough time to have breakfast and see all the characters without feeling rushed and stressed, especially with young kids. I promised DW that I wouldn't be commando and wouldn't rush them anywhere. So it was painful for me to watch all the park guests walking by at 9:00 while our kids were still finishing breakfast and waiting to get pictures with Tigger.

Crystal Palace is a long distance from SpaceMt, SplashSt, BTM, & PotC.
(Which are MAJOR MK attractions.)

And Breakfastosaurus being 30 seconds away from Dinosaur and 3.5 minutes away from EE is not "major" enough at AK?

Its all in what you want to do and who you are with.
I always like Breakfastosaurus at AK, if some guests don't, its OK.
I just don't see how it can be because of being far from "major attractions".
