If I have to cancel my reservations...

I have a split stay coming up ( less than 33 days). Would I be able to let another member "rent" this reservation from me or just take it as a loss. I won't be able to go within 60 - 90 days do to my husband's job. TIA

Cancel before 30 days and the points are good until the end of your UY or depending on your UY you may be able to bank the points..

As long as you cancel before 31 days, you get your points back; they don't go into "holding." Is there still time in your use year to use and/or bank them?

If you don't want to cancel, for whatever reason, I don't see why you couldn't change the reservation to say the someone else would be the user of it. So, if you can find someone to take it (hopefully, they'll pay you!) then, yes, you could do that.

I just got off the phone with MS, and was told because these points are borrowed and banked I will lose all of them. Or use them before the end May(2015)- If I have to cancel there is no way I can even go at the End of May.
That's 50 Points on Poly/Lake view studio reservation and 199 Points on OKW/ 1 bedroom standard.
I only have until April 5 to call and cancel. I had not relies that I banked and borrowed points. My fault. STRESSED. Thanks for letting ramble on .

Don't forget there's a Rent/Trade board here, as well. Particularly if you price the reservation below 'market' value, it's possible you'll find someone interested.

Don't you have until your check-in day to cancel? If you cancel after 4/5, the points just go into holding, but if you are set to lose them at the end of May anyway, does it really matter?
