We have an ADR at 09:50 for dinner at Ohana. There are no other reservations available. What are the odds of me making it in for Wishes at 10? This will be a Friday.

hopefully you can be seated before wishes starts....that'd be nice to see wishes as you get to your table....try checking in to your reservation like 45 mins before...

It Wishes is a must, then you need to cancel your 'Ohana reservation. You may make it, you may not. There is absolutely no way that the restaurant would even be able to guarantee that you'd be seated at that time. Others experience may (or may not) give you hope, but if you need it for you, then I would cancel it, grab CS somewhere on the monorail and then watch Wishes from one of the beaches (if you don't want to go into the MK for Wishes)

ehhh... that makes me nervous. we've waited pretty long past our reservation time, and i imagine that people will "camp out" closer to wishes if they have a seat with a view.

i would suggest going outside to the beach to see them, but the restaurant buzzers only work on the floor the restaurant is on. maybe have one parent go with the kids to the beach while the other one waits??

I'd be in the "no way" camp on this one. You are only giving 10 minutes as wiggle room. Ohana is notoriously behind.... I don't think I've ever been seated that quickly. Plus I have to agree... many people will linger to see it when otherwise they may have moved on.

Quickly? Heck we've never been seated anywhere close to our ADR time.:rotfl: Sorry OP but I don't think you'll make it. More than likely an ADR ten minutes before fireworks starts wouldn't be seated until after the fireworks were over. Anyone sitting at those tables are probably going to stay until after the fireworks. We've had an ADR about 30 minutes prior to the fireworks and didn't make it in until they were completely over.

Just keep your reservation and watch Wishes from Ohana's
They pipe the music in the restaraunt

Have to agree with the other posters.... don't think your chances are high. And if you do get in before Wishes, your don't know if your table will be close enough to see them with good visibility. I say this after our exerperience last year... we were there for dinner and wishes, and we could see bits and pieces (which was fine and lovely), but the restaurant was pretty busy - lots of moving and shaking going on. With so many people everywhere we found that Wishes was a nice background event, not a focal event.

Does everyone know that the firework view is becoming quite obstructed with the tree growth over the past few years? We were there the other night and the fireworks were OK, but nothing more than OK. They no longer dim the lights or pipe in music. It's just the high fireworks off in the distance.

I just can't imagine even factoring this in when planning a meal.

oh no are you serious!?!? I was planning on going back to Ohana's just for Wishes! Ugh!

Unless you're on the far left side of the restaurant, you'll mostly be looking at trees :(

I would have to say no way. How many folks with Wishes-view tables are going to leave them 15-30 minutes before the show starts? I guess you COULD get seated away from the windows, but then, what's the point?

The two times I've been to 'Ohana, even at the very first serving time, I've waited close to 30 minutes to get seated. Factor in the fireworks and you've got an even longer wait.
