If I change my flight time will it mess up ME

I just found out I can take an earlier flight if I'm willing to go standby. I may just do this because it would mean getting to Orlando 4 hours earlier than originally planned.

If I do this will it mess up my ME? I would have to call the night before to be sure they had enough seats open on that particular flight. It would mean dragging my kids out of bed at 5:00am but I know they'd do it for this, they'll probably be up anyway with excitement.

I just know the luggage tags have my flight info on them. If I do this should I take my luggage with me instead? We won't have alot only going for 4 days. Probably will have only 2 suitcases anyway.

I can't change the ticket without a BIG penalty, but if I do standby I don't get any penalty.

Will I still be able to get on the bus? Or will they make me wait because I wasn't scheduled to be on then?

You can still take ME and use your luggage tags.

Just go down to the counter and when they scan your voucher it will update them to get your luggage. (Basically if it has the yellow tag, they pull it no matter what!)

Now, if you are flying standby you do have some issues with checked luggage. Generally if you check luggage and THEN standby you can't do it. So I would make sure that I get checked in as a standby passenger at the counter. Sometimes they will confirm you right then and all is good.
