If I book a package w/ AAA ... and CRO can't access the reservation ...

what happens when I make ADR's? Will I be charged upfront for things like HDDR and CRT since CRO can't see that I have a package booked through AAA?
 
I made my reservations two months ago for our trip this summer. I booked the package through AAA, so I don't have access to the information online or by calling CRO. However, after reading all the great advice on the DIS, I learned that I simply needed to call WDW-DINE to make reservations. I called, entered my phone number, and spoke to someone in a few minutes. She never asked for any information regarding my arrival dates, etc., so I assume that the phone number was enough to validate my package.

Now, on to the direct answer to your question...

You will need to pay for HDDR and CRT in advance... that's the policy regardless of how you booked. Certain meals and shows require advanced payment to hold your spot. I had to pay for my kids' pirate adventure cruise in advance to hold their spot.

If you asking about Dining plan and using credits for CRT etc - then it doesnt matter they charge the credit card and then give you credit then when you eat there, or sometimes they take your # and charge if you dont show...

I could be wrong of course..
 

We're on the Premium plan and I am under the impression that since dining is inclusive I won't be charged upfront for HDDR or CRT. As I understand it they take CC# in case of no show but do not actually charge upfront for the meal. Is that correct?
 
Maybe I'm not asking the right question. Or maybe I'm asking the right question the wrong way.

We have the Platinum package, which as you know includes dining. It is our understanding that because dining is inclusive of the package we won't be charged upfront for HDDR, CRT, or any TS restaurant that requires advance payment. We understand that a cc# is required to secure the reservation, but the card will not be charged unless we neglect to cancel. Is that correct? If so, back to the original question: If CRO doesn't have access to AAA reservations how will they know that we're on the Platinum plan and to not charge upfront for HDDR and CRT? For the amount we're paying for the package surely they wouldn't expect us to pay upfront. :confused3 And if it's a problem with AAA and CRO not being able to see the reservation I still won't pay upfront. Any advice?

iteachlit: You booked through AAA and had no problems when calling Disney to make ADR's? Did you make reservations at any pay in advance restaurant that are "free" on the dining plan?
 
I did not make reservations at any restaurants that require advance payment. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

you are correct.
We have booked 2 trips this year through AAA. We are on the basic dining plan for each and have HDDR booked for one.
I called WDW-DINE, told them I was booked through AAA, MYW + Dining, and they were quite helpful in making all my reservations. I had to give them the CC# for booking, but nothing was charged at the time. She stated several times, that charges would only occur if we didn't show and failed to cancel.
 
In the past I have booked for that package after booking through AAA and all I did was give them my confirmation number given to me by AAA when I put my $200 down to hold my room/package and never had anything including the HDD when I booked charged to my credit card.
 
I don't know the answer to your question... But we booked a package through AAA and our agent offered to make the ADR's for us. Would your agent do that and then she could give Disney the information on your Premium package?
